Description of 🔒 5-Pack - Easy to Hold - Effortlessly Pick with Tongs - Glass Fermentation Weights with Handles for Wide Mouth Mason Jars

GET A GRIP: The handle has a lip on the top edge that makes it easier to grab, whether it’s dry, wet, or halfway down in a jar. You can even use tongs to grab them (see picture 2)!. KEEP YOUR VEGGIES DOWN: With an average weight of 6.5 ozs, these weights are heavier than most, and will do the hard work of keeping your ferment under the brine, leaving you without a care in the world :). STAY SAFE: Food safe, non-porous, lead-free, gluten free, non-GMO (ok, now we’re just being silly), but you get the point: these quality glass weights will protect your ferments. I FITS - I am 2.75” wide, glass, dependable, and will happily fit into any wide mouth mason jar. YOUR HAPPINESS, GUARANTEED: If you don’t love them like we do, we’ll give you a refund. And you can keep the weights! That’s how confident we are.

Great product and works like a charm.

I bought this item to use with sauerkraut. I've had issues with "floaters" sometimes interrupting fermentation and ruining the product. So go ahead with those weights and minimal floats/successful sauerkraut! If there were any changes that could be made, it would be to structure the grip in some way or make it a little higher. I make my cabbage in half gallon mason jars and after that removing the weights was a bit sketchy. Great product, worked as hoped and would buy again if needed.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Infinitely lazy

Comfortable grip! LOVE this product.

After reading all the reviews of glass weights similar to this product I got dizzy and bought them. I'm happy boy! This scale is perfect. They keep my veggies submerged and easy to pop out of the jar even when wet! Many reviews of other similar products have mentioned that the weights are hard to come by. This product has a handle with a small lip that makes it easy to grab and pull right out of the jar. I just made sauerkraut and the weight worked great. I use these weights with wide mouth…

Perfection!: Fermenting and more

Making sauerkraut at home just got a whole lot easier with these weights. I have several 64 ounce jars and the jar weights fit perfectly. I chop up a cabbage, a carrot or two with some spices and then put a round cabbage leaf on top of everything as a floating trap with a glass weight. This fills the jar with enough room for about two inches of brine on top and one inch of air space. It used to be so tedious trying to improvise with weights using the items you already had that were…

Pros
  • Brilliant cooking
Cons
  • Retrofittable

I have bought and read two different books on fermentation and neither mentioned their existence! After playing around with my own clumsy solutions for storing sauerkraut and kimchi underwater, this is a blessing! The listed weight didn't sound like much, so I doubted they would be heavy enough; Previously, these weights tended to hold things in place, but I still had to push them down every now and then. I suggest making them a little larger in diameter to cover a little more area and be a…

Best jar weight I've found from Revain

Unlike most other jar weights I've been able to find here, they have flared handles. It's just a small flash, but it's enough for me to easily pull a weight covered in water and yeast out of the jar with my bare hands. I haven't tried grabbing it with pliers as it seems pointless and just asking for a bad time. Heavy enough to hold batches of peppers, sliced radish, or radish seed pods in water. The weight is the perfect width for all 1 pint wide mouth jars I've tried. Unfortunately they are…

Great simple and effective design.

I'm new to fermentation but have done a lot of research on airlocks and using glass weights etc so I bought 3 different glass weights (and 3 different airlocks). These are by far the best weights of the three I've bought (I buy these, some from "Nourished Essentials" and some from "Galahome" which were part of a fermentation kit with a different lock design that I wanted to try ). Of the three, these have the simplest construction, and the brine can (and will) be released back into the jar…
