Works perfectly! suitable for heat lamps

I bought one for the first time last fall and it has worked all fall, winter and spring for my GC Blue Iguana hybrid. This year I bought a second water monitor cage. Then I bought 3 more for my other iguanas. Out of the 4 I bought, one didn't work. I sent it back to Revain via UPS pickup. I intend to continue buying this brand.

Took less than three days...

I was glad to see a cheap mercury lamp, but literally on the third day it completely stopped working. When it stopped I turned the lamp off for more than 30 minutes to see if it took a minute to cool down like mercury lamps can. I know the bulb works because I put another bulb in and it worked and I know it was rated for the wattage of the bulb so it was literally a problem with the bulb itself. Not worth the risk!

Fragile but good light.

Light is operating within expected parameters. The first one I ordered was defective when it arrived but I had no problem returning it for a replacement. In fact, they sent a replacement before UPS came to collect the defective bulb. Advantages: Good heat output, good light output, so far everything is great. I don't know how long it will last, but if it lasts 6 months (or not) I will update it. Cons: Very thin. Like I said, my first one broke. The elements in the second bulb are off-center and

This lamp has no lifetime. Or an accident?

I usually buy incandescent bulbs before they burn out. So if I replace one, I buy another, so two months later I already have a bulb in stock to replace. Replaced a broken lightbulb with this one today. Worked fine all day. However, when I turned off the lamp, there was a loud click. I hear the same sound here when a light bulb burns out. Literally took a day. And now I can't give it back. Edit, Day 2: Not sure if it was an accident, but I unscrewed the lightbulb this morning and checked forโ€ฆ
