Not slow to close at all? If there is no way to adjust, I'm not reading Chinese. Great idea, terrible result. The lid still closes. Have to order something else now. Extremely disappointed.

This product may be good, but if you can't read Chinese, good luck with the installation. We bought this to put on a toy box we made as a gift and ended up having to fill in the holes and try to patch them up because all you have to do is take 10 different pictures that aren't even say something. You what to do just shows you the angle. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know how to install this from scratch before you buy it.

Waste of money. waste of time. First of all, they came with instructions that weren't in English. Second, they were difficult to install (perhaps because we didn't have instructions). Third, they DO NOT close softly. Exactly the opposite. They strike. The top of our toy box only weighs about 8 pounds and we installed a hinge on each side. The maximum weight requirement should be easily covered. We have to take them off and send them back for a refund, they are so pathetic.

Not even worth the one star I should have given. The attached instructions are in Chinese, but the English version has been emailed separately, but it's still impossible to follow and understand. It took over an hour to finally figure out how to install it, multiple attempts resulted in the inside of the toy box being riddled with holes. If you're looking for a toy box hinge, look elsewhere. They are very easy to install although they don't come with clear instructions. This one in the Amazon app, as you scroll through the images, is blurry and not very detailed. My first attempt was unsuccessful. I thought I figured out the mechanics behind it and then went for it. Big mistake like many people in the reviews.
