🐦 Super Finch Bird Food by Volkman Avian Science Review

Very disappointed to see this eating. How carelessly it is packed, stored and shipped. Don't buy this, it's harmful to pets and humans.

My finches eat it when they can't get corn on the cob; They seem to prefer fresh as in the wild, but will also eat the seeds. They are "picky" eaters and it takes time to change their diet. However, it's good food.

Note that this seed mix contains some artificially colored parts. Because the tiny bird's liver would need to process the unwanted blue dyes, I had to cull and remove the light blue bits from an otherwise acceptable seed mix.

Full of round black bugs no idea what they are and unfortunately I bought 2 8lb bags. Bugs everywhere, disgusting. My house is full of them now. Will never buy them from Revain, will return to Chewy, never had a problem with them and will refund if infected as bad as they are.

Very good food. I switched to this because the mix of finches and canaries I was feeding left a lot of uneaten seeds each day. Volkmans love to eat every day, and the birds are very good at it. They lay eggs and keep fit.

This product arrived in packaging which did not look like the picture although it was labeled Volkmann Finkenfutter. It contained blue pieces that looked like an oyster shell and blue paint that washed off my hands. Why paint oyster shells? I'm not comfortable feeding this to my birds. I will not order from this seller again.

My finches love this mix and it's nice to know it's good for them and at a very reasonable price. I used to feed finches very expensive food and felt fine, now I don't have to spend as much and they still eat healthy. They are dirty eaters and there is very little of this mix on the bottom of the cage which is more than I can say about similarly priced mixes in stores. I will buy this product again in due course.

This is my favorite seed for my finches and canaries whether they are laying eggs or any other time. I fill her seed tray with this, a hard boiled egg, and some romaine lettuce or frozen sweetcorn. Works every time and the kids come out really healthy (and adorable). I love the smell of orange oil when opening the package. My canaries and rehab sparrow love it too. All my birds seem energetic and happy after eating this seed mix. Nice item and worth the money. i want to find more

I breed canaries and finches, I have VERY high demands on attitude and nutrition. To ensure all of my birds are kept in the best possible condition, I am willing to take the time necessary to research and find out what they need to thrive. Birds need fresh, moth-free seed, and that's exactly what I got every time I ordered a new Volkmans bag. My birds are also attracted to the scent of oranges! This seed mix is the base of her diet with the addition of fresh vegetables and my personal soft food
