Best blade quality for oscillating tool accessories

I bought this set of oscillating blades specifically for a flat roof project I'm working on for my Planet Mojo YouTube channel. I thought they were of lower quality than Dewalt but at least I've had enough of them. At the time of writing this article, I'm halfway through with the project and still working on the first blade! The quality is the same as Dewalt so I will definitely buy this brand again! My next task for them will be an oblique plunge cut to make holes for the copper scuppers.

  • GOLS certified

Will not work with Dremel

These blades do not work with Dremel despite what the seller says. The mounting frame and the holes in the blades are larger than the mounting surface and pins of a Dremel tool. They provide a cheap little horseshoe ring that should adjust the blades to fit the Dremel's smaller mounting surface, but it's decidedly uncomfortable to mount, and even when it's in place, the blade is still so loose that it doesn't have its full swing travel power. that the tool must cut correctly.

Used for small cuts on collar Project

If you can cut off a finger then my husband's a man for work! He was doing a gate project this weekend and had a couple of minor cuts and a couple of rusted bolts. They came in handy as I promise he would go after them with a professional saw. Back to the general thought process of how to do this quickly with your finger. These are of good quality for the price and cut very well. We don't have any reference to a really expensive blade but what I can say is for regular hobby crafters like us…

Wears out faster than OEM

Good value for money. Got a whole pack for about the same price as 1 blade at Home Depot. Having seen that they don't last as long as expensive OEMs, I reckon they will still outlive a 1 OEM blade by at least 5x. Good price but be aware that you will be changing blades more often. If, like me, you accidentally hit hidden nails, pull teeth, or dull the blade, you'll be happier ruining one of these blades than expensive OEM blades. This is my second pack I've bought after the sale and it's my…

As good as DeWalt blades

I recently started a project to replace a lot of rotten exterior wood trim, so I had an excuse to buy a new multi-tool. DeWalt included a blade with the kit, and they're all about $5 a blade at hardware stores, so of course I had to see if there was a better-priced option. I went through two blades in about 5 working days, both of which are still usable but eventually lose their cutting speed as the teeth wear down. They work just as well as DeWalt blades for about 1/5 the price. I don't mind…

Great alternative to more expensive blades. It will take just as long.

Like many of you, I winced when I had to replace the oscillating blades. The Big Box tool store wanted about $20 for a blade. I got this set for $24 for 15 blades (they have another set that I also got that's 20 blades for 24 - I think it's cheaper if you don't have half round blades). After using them on a renovation project I found they lasted just as long as the more expensive ones. Even if they lasted half as long, they would still be cheaper to buy. You were a great find. Update: After…

I am very glad I bought this

. I always buy blades at the hardware store or cheaper from Harbor Freight, but they still aren't very cheap - about $7 a blade. And at this price point, we tend to use a dull cutting tool for too long. I don't know am I the only one? So we bought this set of 15 blades and decided that at least dull blades would be quicker to throw away even if they weren't as good quality. But I'm very impressed. When preparing the house for hardwood floors, one of my workers cut the skin of every door in the…

Pros
  • . Very impressive

WILL NOT fit the Fein MSXE-636-2VSXL

These blades will NOT fit the Fein MSXE-636-2VSXL Multimaster and the adapters supplied were totally useless. The blade does not stay in place even after the nut has been tightened to the maximum. These older versions of the Multimaster have been discontinued but still all use Fein blades. A few years ago a neighbor gave me some unpackaged blades he bought from Harbor Freight that didn't work with his Dremel but worked great with my Fein. So I know there are other blades that work with older…

Blades match Dewalt; Pretty good quality

I received these blades in early June 2020. They came in a small undamaged box. See my photos to see exactly what was supplied including all blades as well as an information flyer listing which brands of oscillating tools this set is compatible with. I would point out that the compatibility information on the website may be more up-to-date than a small leaflet. The kit contains several small 'C-clip adapters' (see photo) which the instructions are designed to 'try' on some specific Dremel and…
