I bought these valve stems to use to pressurize 2 liter pop bottles for cheap and reasonably safe reactive target shooting. Unlike products like Tannerite, the resulting target made possible by this valve can even be blown up with a shotgun, darts, or even darts or blowguns!

This is great, I need valve stems that don't flex and they should meet this requirement perfectly. One good thing about this design is that there are no nuts in the wheel to loosen and fall off. Tightening is done entirely on the outside of the wheel. The takeaways I received are not very similar to these. The ones sent have an additional rubber lock nut over the metal nut. It seems to me that this could be left if desired.

At $9 for a set of 4 1 inch long metal rods this seems like a fair deal. Nowhere does it say how tightly the nut needs to be tightened. I ended up putting on a deep flare bushing and then slowly hand tightening it. It would be nice if the instructions included inch-pounds of torque or instructions on how hard to compress the rubber when tightening. Also three out of 4 fit perfectly. The valve stem itself appears to be a well made piece with a nice chrome finish but the rubber bushings are cheap rubber. I've had them on my 99 Ram 2500 wheels for about 3 months and the bushings have already cracked from dry rot. They don't hold a seal. My tires have lost 20psi in 3 months. Even with the traditional valve stems I previously had on my bikes, my tires didn't lose air pressure as quickly. A recent fire in the West caused by a flat trailer tire prompted me to check the trailer tire nipples. I found five out of five broke in my hand. That's why I ordered these. I was able to break the tire bead and put in a new valve without removing the tire from the wheel. I've tightened the valve nuts a little more than hand tight and there is no leakage. I bought a set of 4 of these valves for a full set of new 19.5" Vision 81A Heavy Hauler wheels fitted with the new 245/70R19. 5 Sailun works H-rated tires - all bought to fit our heavy DRV-5. to pull wheel. The maximum air pressure of these tires is 120 psi. I'm currently running at 110psi as I haven't started towing yet - I can pump it up to 120 if that seems necessary. These are great valve stems, but my camper trailer wheels had small indentations for valve stems only .69" in diameter. So I had 2 issues - the diameter of the top washer (.750) was too big to fit the cavity and the 14mm 3/8" socket was also too wide to fit the cavity to make the tighten the top nut. I replaced the flat washer with a 10mm stainless steel spring washer which fitted perfectly and got the job done. I turned the OD of the old rosette to fit the cavity. Then either polish it smooth…

I was wary of installing it on the curved part of a pump sprayer. Luckily it turned out great. Instead of manually pumping, the pressure in the tank is now generated by an air compressor (30 psi or less). Some tips for installation on a polyethylene tank: 1. When planning the position of the valve, ensure that the position of the valve will not impede the removal of the tank cap.2.
