Walker 16384 Direct Catalytic Converter Review

This is the primary catalytic converter which is located on the exhaust manifold. On most models, the post-catalyst is located in the middle of the exhaust system. The box arrived as if it had been dragged behind a truck. Whoever packed the box bent the flange gasket to the width of the box instead of just shifting it lengthwise, and the manifold gasket was MIA. The part fits the head and header well, but the bottom bracket mounting hole on the passenger side is shaped at the wrong angle and the bolt hole is cut crooked. I unpacked the catalytic converter from the box and found that at the bottom of the box an exhaust gasket from the catalytic converter was crushed and unusable. Why the supplier didn't put the pad in the bag and taped it to the inside of the box to keep it from crushing I don't know.
