Bad welds! fits exhaust pipes and tips

As with many other reviews of this product, my exhaust pipe arrived and I checked the welds prior to installation. I can already see a few holes everywhere and the welds are poorly done. Bad quality control.

Don't buy this. best among exhaust pipes and nozzles

Poor workmanship. The welds are among the worst I've seen. Probably done blindfolded in someone's basement in the dark. Exhaust flanges are not flush with each other, so it's difficult to seal them with heads. I can't wait to show everyone the bad life choices I make.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Part fit perfectly and well packaged but there was a bad weld under the heat shield and it leaked heavily after fitting. There was no point in paying a mechanic to remove and fix it, so a weld shop had to pay an additional $70 to fix it. I will revise my review if contacted regarding a refund of this cost. excellent service Revan!

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Almost never

Technically compatible but poor quality.

Six months after installation, the rear flange weld began to leak. I contacted Walker/Tenneco for a replacement which they shipped directly to me. My shop installed a replacement and it only took Walker/Tenneco three months and dozens of calls to approve a refund. The complaint was not easy, but the part fits and works. Looking back, I should have bought an OEM or tried a part from the Borla brand.

Pros
  • Lubrication 🔥
Cons
  • Operating speed

Fits like a glove on a 2000 Subaru Outback 2

Fits like a glove on a 2000 Subaru Outback 2.5L, needs some metal shavings to clean but all together works best for walking and all its catalytic converters. and resonators - products of excellent quality. Did a high temp coating with 7 coats of primer and 7 coats of matte black welds that are really good for assembly line welds, definitely a happy customer. Ps don't be silly, get new gaskets, the heads are 26ft long and the gasket to the catalyst system is really tight with a regular 1/2 inch…

Welds leak immediately.

Due to age/mileage I decided to replace the entire exhaust system on my '01 Subaru when the catalytic converter burned out after a pretty solid 20 years of service. We have to praise, the part fits perfectly and is easy to screw on with screws. However, the welds on this particular part were so bad that within an hour of driving the car started to sound like wheezing with the tailpipe again. After putting it back on the lift to find out what went wrong I found that everything was fine except…

Don't Buy Walker Exhaust Components

This is by far the worst example of quality control I have ever known. The photo doesn't show everything, there was slag and bits of filler wire sticking out everywhere, and roughly speaking I was blown away when I took it out of the box. Almost all of the welds had a weld on the weld in an apparent attempt to salvage this POS. I should have read the reviews, shame on me, Walker used to be a good name when it came to exhausts but it seems they no longer have a good name and are now pumping out…

Pros
  • Outstanding Engineering
Cons
  • Not the Best

American quality, hmm.

Interesting how many assume if something is made in the US then it must be of better quality somehow. This exhaust manifold is a counterexample. It's actually cumbersome. Let's start with the weld quality. It looks like something made in the Shop class. Not impressed at all. Unlike the original Subaru build, this part is made up of different sized tubes welded together to achieve (at least in principle) the same functionality. The Subaru header consists of two stamped steel halves that are…
