I thought they were universal and would work with any torch, but they don't thread more than a turn or two into the shaft. I can still use them but they fall off when hot as I can't attach them properly.

This was a disappointment. The letters are not standard size. The lowercase "a" is much larger than the "c" and the "v" is even smaller in comparison. As a result, it's almost impossible to line up the letters well and my project looks sloppy. Switch to perforated jewel letters and a propane tank to get the proportions right.

This is a cryptex I made out of maple on my lathe. As you can see, there are a few overly burned letters and a few letters that aren't completely burned out, and the "t" on the fourth wheel has slipped off. This is because I can't burn on a very hard wood cylinder and shouldn't be reflected in the letters. 1 use.
