Does NOT work with Pi 4 and very poor workmanship

Display stays white, both methods of manufacturer's driver installation do not work. The finished Raspbian image doesn't even boot. And if you install Raspbian yourself and just install the driver that comes with it, it won't work either. There is dust on the display UNDER the capacitive screen. It looks like you have dirt under your phone's screen protector. I strongly advise against buying, do not buy! Bought two of these and both don't work.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Some flaws

Right idea. and only 4 fps?

What should be an awesome device is lame as the display when connected to the Raspberry Pi Zero W can only show around 4 frames per second. . To add insult to injury, there isn't much documentation on how to deal with this limitation. I've spent several hours on 3rd party forums discussing this particular screen. Most of the discussion revolved around editing obscure settings in the boot-config.txt file, so sacrifice color depth for speed. There was much confusion as to what exactly each…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Looks like I didn't get everything.

I hope to use it with my pi but mine doesn't have a back panel but judging by the pictures it does. I really need a backplate/case for this.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are some cons

As advertised.: Computers & Accessories

Works as intended. Comes pre-installed with connector and fan for use as a "shield". Keep that in mind if you don't plan on making an LCD + Pi sandwich.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

Worked for my needs: Single board computer

I hooked this up to my Raspberry Pi, put in an Astro Touch Box micro SD memory card and it works like a charm! You don't have to mess with the settings as the software is already set up for this screen. A very happy camper.

Pros
  • Convenient
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Right idea. and only 4 fps?

What should be a fantastic device has the downside that when connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero W the display can only show around 4 frames per second out of the box. This is useful for web browsing or static images.

The screen is not smooth or fast. There's serious lag and the screen shakes unless you dig into the config files and lower settings. If you want to rotate the screen, your mileage will be different. When I first rotated the screen, every color was inverted, but I was able to find a few forums where people found a workaround. The second time I tried this the color was inverted and the refresh rate went back a century and I couldn't find the same forums with a workaround. None of the Waveshare…

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast.
Cons
  • Crumpled.
