I use these to remove silicone sealant from engine covers. Fine bristles take the shape of a wheel (at high speeds) and remove sealant without scratching the paint on painted caps. Also, if you want to remove surface rust from parts without penetrating the material, these spoked wheels are for you.

This is a great brush for soft parts like aluminium. Cleans and polishes. Very thin wire, does not scratch. I use it on a grinder, but it can also be used on a high speed drill or drill press. recommended

Secure assembly without problems. Works well on softer metal, doesn't remove much material, great as a final cleaner. I will be ordering the same design with thicker wire for a more intensive cleaning.

I bought this to use with my air grinder to clean aluminum engine parts. It did that very well - removed old paint, grease etc, did a good job with the old gasket and didn't damage the aluminum finish. This is a soft brush - much softer than large wire or branch brushes. It probably won't do much against heavy rust, scale, etc., but that's not what I bought it for. It shed wires in my grinder, which I've found happens to everyone, so be sure to wear proper safety glasses when working. Minimum.
