Not Worth the Money for Automotive Welders

This welding practice tool was a disappointment. Through trial and error, i found that the pins didn't line up properly, making it difficult to use .The only pro is that it was relatively cheap. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for the lack of quality. Overall I would not recommend this product for any serious automotive welder..

Ideal for learning while doing your homework

Grinding, welding, learning. Did it in a couple of hours and went from the first time with a welder to doing pretty decent lap and butt welds with a FCAW machine. I am fascinated by welding and have watched many videos with welding tips and tricks over the years. It's time to do it. Now I'm making legs for tables and working on sliders for a truck. And even the roll cage tubing (DOM 1018) is only 1/8 inch thick so the settings I learned from those coupons work great.
