you never know sometimes with good and bad reviews i bought it. it is badly designed. The blades don't touch the perforated cone, the gap is about 1/8 inch and the food slides right under. There is absolutely no chance of the seeds being peeled or removed. Garbage.

I use it to grind dehydrated spice blends. I had a cheaper one that fell apart when swearing. This has lasted for a long time and is in great shape despite heavy use. Outstanding ergonomics. Grinding even the most crystalline products is easy and stable. A word of caution: there are no extendable legs (which break with other grinders), so you'll need the right diameter bowl to work comfortably. Highly recommended!

Worked great - once I knew how it worked. There is a lot of back and forth movement when turning the handle. It's not like he's pressing the tomatoes hard against the screen. You turn it one way so it pushes the tomatoes against the sieve, then you turn it the other way to free up the sieve a bit and force it to grind more tomatoes.
