Great glasses at a great price

I really like these glasses. They're light (in a good way) and a pleasure to drink from. I like their feel and their weight. The ribs on the underside enhance the flavor when drunk neat. I also have a Norlan set (gift) and they are _very_ good. However, when I thought about getting more, I thought it was a better price and worth a try. I'm not disappointed. There's a sweet spot for drinking paraphernalia, where the vessel really enhances the experience, but they're not so expensive that you'll…

Unleash the aroma of your Whisk(e)y!

I first poured a good old Reserve, Glenlivet 12, into these glasses, and also a glass of Glencairn for comparison. It was immediately apparent that the nose is much sweeter in a glass of James Bentley than in a glass of Glencairn. I have to say the scent wasn't as strong as the Glencairn but what was there was much better. After taking my first sip, I immediately knew I had to try some of my other favorites I had: Ardebeg 10, Hibiki Harmony, Makers 46, and some variants of Balcones Lineage…

Good glasses, but still something to do

I just unpacked my new glasses and noticed that one of them is blowing crookedly. The inner glass does not sit vertically in the outer glass and is strongly tilted to the side. I am so happy to finally get these glasses. Just a little frustrated with this problem. Update April 24, 2019: I was pleasantly surprised by James Bentley for fixing everything by sending me a new set of points free of charge (without Revane's cut of course) as soon as they found out about my problem. I prefer her to my Norlan.

Bought several times. I've bought several sets from the latest BOGO deal and the new ones are noticeably smaller with a different, less square bottom. At first I was disappointed, but then I realized that the performance is exactly the same on the new ones.... Only the double wall is thinner, which makes the lens appear smaller overall. Same aroma/flavor enhancement as Norlan jar but at a better price and with better customer service!

My friend Jim and I tested a James Bentley lens against Norlan and Glencairn lenses using three different bands - MacDuff 33, Ardbeg 22 and The Gov'nor 38- mixing The JB glass is slightly shorter and rounder and the borosilicate glass is thicker than Norlan. Hopefully this also means it's more durable as Norlan tears and breaks easily. The curved outer grooves of the JB are also comfortable to hold.
