Wilde Tool G705 B Compound Pliers Review

I received my pliers and they have been in use, the springs are worn out, covered in grease like wtf. I thought I'd buy a new one when he said the new one was unused and worn

I use these pliers daily at work and they work well. The little drilled indentations on the two sides really help to grab the rings when you take them off. Also, they are made by Wylde and rebranded for Snap-on.

These snap ring pliers have knurled flat ends and 90 degree tips for a snug fit on the shaft or body. The knurling is heavy and binds the first time. My eyeballs feel a lot safer than a loud clack and a race to close my eyes before being pierced by flying locking rings.

I just worked on my transfer case where I needed them and they worked great. Compound action and size made locking rings easy to remove. There is a notch at the end of the outside which allows for the snap ring to snap in and helps hold the pliers on the ring when removing. The quality of the tool is also very good, it opens and closes easily. Another plus is that they are made in the USA.

These pliers are my first experience with Wilde tools. The processing is excellent. Pros: 1) Tools Made in the United States of America! 2) Excellent finish. They are very lightly smeared with black oxide (finish). 3) The action is smooth. 4) The jaws open VERY wide when needed. 5) They are very comfortable to hold. Cons: 1) The jaws are a bit narrower than I thought. So if you are looking for a very durable pair with wide jaws, do your research before you buy. However, the slightly narrower…
