Good quality for the right price

My out of shape lame ass managed to finish off a Russian olive tree root system with this thing. Worked great. The axe's handle may warp over time, decreasing its overall usability.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • The axe's handle may warp over time, decreasing its overall usability

Good value: my feedback

Good value for the money. Not as sharp as it could be but then again, it's a field axe and not a fine chisel. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • This item works.
Cons
  • The axe's weight makes it dangerous and difficult to control for inexperienced users

Built tough! - my new review

Bought this for general use When received I was surprised at how well it fit in my hand. Very nice chopping ax Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • price great, works well little heavy
Cons
  • The axe's weight distribution is not balanced, causing unnecessary strain on the user's arms and back

A big metal thing in the shape of a tool.

Ok. Well the balance is awkward. It's meant to be a splitter not a chopper. Hey, that's why I bought it.I can't imagine this is ever going to be a great splitter. Even if I'm able to file it's god awful butter knife twisted edge.Hopefully after the hours of work it will take to get it sharp & useable , it won't break.Delivered as pure unusable JUNK. Maybe I can make it into something, but i'm not hopefull. Seems every good review had to be because was free? This is a REAL REVIEW & I did not…

Pros
  • Hatchet
Cons
  • The axe's blade may become scratched or damaged during storage

Almost Flat Blade: my feedback

I had a hard time chopping up smaller pirates of logs because of how poorly this was sharpened. If it was ever sharpened. The protective sleeve slides right off and the lock for in useless.

Pros
  • Nice addition! Very sharp
Cons
  • The metal for the Pick-Axe's metal blades is too soft.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As expected. Except.

Looks decent enough. I guess. Pretty sharp right out of the box. But the grind on the edge is uneven. One side is deeper and more of an angle than the other. The blade also has a slight twist to it that is noticeable when you look down the handle. And the rubber blade cover was cut wide open down the middle when it arrived. Pictures are included with this review to show the issues as described. So much for the blade guard. Looks like I'll now be shopping for a sheath.I'm sure it will function as…

Pros
  • Wood splitting
Cons
  • The axe may be too heavy to carry for extended periods of time during hiking or camping trips

Dullest Axe I ever bought!

This is a nice ax, well designed with a good feel. But I am 65 and this is the dullest ax I have ever seen. I have hand sharpeners, but they didn't help much. I am taking it to the shop and paying to have it sharpened. Just know in advance that you may have some work to do before you can use it!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Will not buy any more of this WILFIKs tools

Very good tool for cutting up 1/2 logs for kindling.

A gift for our son-in-law. He can now safely and easily cut up half logs for kindling. This piece of equipment looks to be well constructed and should last a lifetime.

Pros
  • On the heavy side
Cons
  • The axe is too expensive compared to other models with similar features

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great axe, weak blade cover.

Grip is great and splits wood real well. Green blade cover came broke in two though. Connector seemed thinner than paper so no wonder

Pros
  • Used it camping, works very well z.
Cons
  • The axe's carbon steel material may rust over time with exposure to moisture

Dull hatchet on my review.

So I got this hatchet just to split small logs - when I say small already split wood and other small wood for kindling. My first impression taking it out of the box was it’s quite heavy for a hatchet. My first feel of the handle was a bit odd with its design. My first feel of the axe head found it was as dull as any normal cheap pocket knife you could buy at Wal-Mart leading me to believe this hatchet might not be able to split even the smallest of logs or small branches.I thought I would try…

Pros
  • I haven't gone camping with it yet, but it should work nicely!
Cons
  • The axe's blade may not be suitable for use in extreme cold or hot weather conditions

Hatchet looks OK, but the sheath is junk

The hatchet looks to be of reasonable quality, but the sheath arrived broke. The sheath was part of the reason for getting this hatchet vs others. For a camping hatchet you really want a sheath for traveling and not damaging other items while transporting. Not sure will rely on this since it already busted.

Pros
  • Corto leña en trozos más pequeños, buen agarre y funcional.
Cons
  • The axe's handle is too short, making it difficult to get enough leverage for wood splitting

Love this Axe!: my feedback

Axe works fantastic! Did arrive with a broken cover (due to shipping) and they were quick to provide a replacement. Light and ergonomic.

Pros
  • Great for work with firewood, small limbs. Good weight so I can let the axe do the work.
Cons
  • The axe's anti-slip grip may wear off after extended use, increasing the risk of injury

Awesome axe on my review.

Can’t wait to take my new axe in the woods. The only thing that could help the ratings would be a sheath. I have go and try to find one. Would have been easier if if came with one.

Pros
  • Very happy with is axe, seems well constructed and the blade itself seems sturdy
Cons
  • The axe may be too loud when chopping wood, disturbing nearby wildlife

This is a great TOOL!

Goes though small trees and vines like butter. Edge retention is great! It's a bit heavy, so, not a good option for a hiking camp axe (at all). But for around my property it's a great tool at a fair price.

Pros
  • Works perfectly with a hammer to split firewood
Cons
  • The axe's weight makes it difficult to swing with accuracy and precision

Good For Money good for me

Very good quality for the money pretty sharp not good for big trees though good for small trees and branch’s good compact axe

Pros
  • haven't used it yet, but this thing is heavy and i know that is will split wood for me..
Cons
  • This picture is right of the box. Edge guard is already split from the axe.
