Winco CBI 1824 Grooved Cutting 18 Inch Review

We needed a ribbed board to use on an outdoor BBQ table and it fits the bill. We wish it was a little bigger but we adjusted to that size.

This is exactly what I wanted. However, it is too big and I have nowhere to put it. It's too big to stand on the counter, too big to fit in top or base cabinets, too big for pantry shelves, etc. So I'm sending it back. I suggest you find out if you have space to store before you buy.

My Brisket cutting board. I bought a whole brisket smoker and found that I had nowhere to cut, smoke, or slice the brisket. That's great! Large enough to store a sliced brisket in the fridge, then take it out and cook. Then you can just put your chest on this board and cut it in the middle of the table!

I bought this because I only had the small chopping boards you can find in stores. I make a very large turkey for Easter and Thanksgiving. I usually had to shred the meat in a pan and then transfer it for further slicing. It was big and could hold a whole turkey. The grooves on the edges kept the juice from spilling over the counter like my other boards.

I needed a chopping board this size to remove the silvery skin and fat from a 10-12 pound pork loin. No more unhooking from the board or cutting into smaller pieces. This size also connects 1 of 2 kitchen sinks and stays in place. I also wanted the groove to collect any liquids to prevent them from spilling onto the floor and cabinets. Lighter than the angular cutting board I was trying to make.

I bought this item because of its size. It fits perfectly on half of my sink so I use it to save space. I also use it to quickly cut large fruits like pineapple and watermelon. A little heavy, but cleans up quickly. Works well but after a few uses I started noticing all those little tiny ridges that will appear on any cutting board after a while. I was hoping the plastic would be better so no 5 stars. Otherwise, this item is good when I need to cut large pieces.

Good grooved cutting board, nothing special or amazing. However, there is one thing. Although the dimensions are 18" x 24" when it arrived it seemed HUGE. It's big enough for giant turkeys and the like. Do yourself a favor before you buy. Take a large piece of cardboard and cut it to fit this board so you know the size of the item you are getting so you can find a place to store it. There is nothing wrong with the product! Just using our scale, how big is 18" x 24"!

I compared the dimensions with my kitchen. That's big. I thought I would probably only use it once a year, but now I've used it multiple times over the past two months. It fits nicely over part of my sink and gives me extra countertop space while still allowing access to my sink. I like to cut up veggies that like to spread out, like cabbage. I have a 16x20 bamboo floorboard that I have been very happy with for many years. I wanted something the same size for camping and for some reason I ordered this huge 18x24 board. like, and none of our other boards do. As for warping, I can detect some warping when looking at the board lengthwise, but that's not a problem. Too big to fit in our dishwasher (or sink) it has to be hand washed.
