Description of 🚲 Wind-Blox Pro - Helmet Wind Noise Reducer: Enhancing Your Cycling Experience

AUDIBLE RIDING: Wind-Blox filters out wind noise, allowing cyclists to keep the sounds they want and remain tuned into their surroundings. Unlike earplugs or headphones, this specialized accessory does not cover the ears or obstruct hearing in any way. In ambient testing of this product, there was actually a gain of desirable sound. SIMPLE TO ATTACH: Unlike similar wind noise reduction products, Wind-Blox features a patented rim-to-clip design that makes it easy to fasten to bike helmets. It is also easy to remove for cleaning, and is machine-washable. It is ideal for helmets with straps closer to the face and in front of the ears. LOW-PROFILE: With Wind-Blox, you can finally switch out those funny earmuffs for a more low-key product. Engineered out of modern sports fabric, it is designed to look hi-tech and is perfect for riders who prefer their gear to be simple and understated. The only thing about this product that stands out is its reflective lettering, which was incorporated to facilitate greater nighttime visibility. HELPS PREVENT EAR ACHES: Wind-Blox doesn’t just protect your ears from wind noise but also from wind chill! When enjoying a bike ride, the last thing you want is for a wind-induced ear ache to ruin your good time. This product will reduce the likelihood of ear discomfort, making your cycling experience an all-around better time. WIND-BLOX QUALITY: Mike Fajen's work as a professional engineer drove him to find a solution to the wind noise he encountere on a daily basis. This initial discovery along with passion for audible riding has driven Wind-Blox ever since. Fajen has tested and championed each product the company has made since its inception. The Patented design Wind-Blox products are made to last, and aid safe and enjoyable bike-riding experiences.

Blocks wind but also blocks your goggles

Wind blocking ability is better than other products. However, wearing this product with glasses (prescription or sunglasses) is problematic. Worn over the product, the temples spread out and don't sit on the ears (or, if inserted, are very uncomfortable). Placed under the product, the arms push the product away from my head and create a gap for the wind to pass through, greatly reducing the effectiveness of the product. A solution seems feasible here and would be a real necessity as driving…

They turn on the helmet straps

I think it helps, but it's often hard to tell. They are a lot thicker than expected. They work best when the soft side is close to the face. But I find it almost impossible to keep the padding in that position. The entire strap wrap rotates around the helmet strap and gets out of position every time I take the helmet off. Also, they seem to work best if you have goggles that are on the outside of the strap wraps. My chin strap isn't too tight (because the helmet has a built in strap that…

Welcome improvement in ride comfort (to the ears)

I felt a noticeable reduction in wind noise. They seem to be most efficient at lower speeds, maybe down to 15 mph or so. As you approach the 20s, they reduce wind noise, but there's still quite a bit of residual noise. If you can get them out of your head a bit you can see how much they still do, but at high speeds don't expect them to magically eliminate turbulence. They stayed for a few minutes. You'll have to adjust the straps a bit to account for the extra bulk, but it's not a big deal. It…

Works better than expected!

I was very skeptical when I first knew they existed, but I was willing to try them as I didn't bike to the station with my new Airpods almost fully loaded wanted to drive to work. They work great to drown out the general noise that comes from driving at high speed in relatively calm air. I think if there are gusts, or if the wind is just strong in general, then all bets are pretty much off. I think most of the bad reviews here are from people who want to wear glasses at the same time. I don't…

Better than I thought. Especially since I didn't have any.

Wind-Blox Pro Bought in 2016 and used for 2 years. I've never been very impressed. They don't go well with helmet straps if you have a small head like me. The product fades very quickly in the Florida sun. Between the sun, sweat and rain, mine were downright ugly in just 2 months. And it doesn't seem to help much. It was 2016. It's now late 2018. I recently crashed and bought a new helmet. I didn't take Wind-Blox to a new helmet. On my first ride I noticed a lot more wind noise. I could barely…

They work and enjoy themselves

They work great for me. I have a Garneau Raid helmet and a small to medium head. Because the helmet fits me, the Wind-Blox is a bit longer than the strap, but I was still able to attach it. My helmet is actually a bit more comfortable and snug with the ear cups attached. They don't block 100% of wind noise, but they do block the biggest sound, the piercing wind, which seems to be coming straight into your ear canal. With them, the wind sounds more distant and more like a hum. I wear headphones…
