My first chicken farm, after 6 months I started to breed domestic chickens. In any case, nesting pads are very comfortable for hens. On the first run, they scrape to adjust until comfortable. It is very easy to shake off the leftovers, so cleaning is not difficult. Your chicken will rest comfortably.

These bix inserts are amazing. Due to their strength, cropping is a little tedious. Once trimmed, you can easily put them on and take them off, making them easy to clean. My girls love them, they no longer have to dig through straw and throw it over the stable. Happy chickens, happy life. Highly recommended.

We use a lot of straw in our nests. Chickens tend to make the bowl so deep that there is not enough straw at the bottom of the nest and some of the eggs will crack if dropped during laying. Since we added these pads there have been no more issues. The pads are hard and the chickens don't gnaw through them like straw. I highly recommend it.

I bought these because Excelsior Nest pads weren't available at the time and other options were too expensive. I'm so glad I chose this brand because they are very well made and have a lot of shaft material compared to other brands. Great for bird feeders! They stay clean so the chickens can use them for a week or even longer. Nest pads form on their body with use, forming a cozy nest. I occasionally add aromatic herbs, and since I don't change pods often, the herbs don't get lost. I also use them in the tray instead of bedding.
