New intake manifold gasket won't stay in place and will knock the car over when it starts. I've already dropped the oil pan twice and each time reinstalled the seal with a hammer and nut (absolutely flush) - and still unscrewed it and the pump sucked in air. When I dropped the pan, a gasket was hanging off the filter tube. The old WIX fill didn't do this and honestly I shouldn't have taken it out to replace as instructed. If it works, better leave it alone and don't replace it!

Dodge Ram 1500 2005 daily driving 204.XXX miles and now shifts smoothly with no hesitation when stopping. Nine liters (AFT-4) to top it off. I've always had good luck with Wix filters and expected the same from them, NO. The primary filter is half plastic and weighs about 1/3 of the factory filter, the radiator secondary return filter is smaller than the factory filter, it's shorter, and the factory filter wrench is dangling from it and I really hope I don't have one. the problem of deleting it later. The new pre-filter gasket is a very thin copy of the factory gasket, and it's almost impossible to sit down without damaging it. Mine

I am replacing my transmission pan so it has a drain plug which Dodge didn't put in their original pan. A drain plug makes changing the oil and filter MUCH cleaner and easier.
