Good compact filter, looks good. I didn't know when I bought it it's meant to be screwed into a carburetor. My carburetor doesn't have a proper fitting so I couldn't use it.

Good, economical replacement for old Ford, Mercury and AMC carburetors. The WIX logo and part number will appear instantly with the brake cleaner. If you want an Autolite stamp you can create a filter that looks for NOS for a fraction of the price. The fuel line that came with me is safe for modern fuel.

I bought this filter as a fuel filter for the nitrous oxide system fuel solenoid. It is exactly the same size and dimensions as the much more expensive NOS filter. later DO NOT overtighten. I'm a wrench and have worked with cars and trucks for more years than I care to count. I screwed this filter into my carburetor and just tightened it with a wrench. I hardly applied any force to it and it broke leaving a thread in my carburetor. What turned out to be a perfectly easy job for a beginner has turned into a nightmare and the truck won't be able to move until it's fixed.
