Description of 🚲 RoadLink by Wolf Tooth

The RoadLink mounts only to standard derailleur hangers. The RoadLink is optimized for use with 10-Speed road derailleur geometry, it also works with 9-speed road derailleurs. Triple chainrings are not supported (medium cage rear derailleurs cannot accommodate that big of a range). Easily installed in less than 5 minutes by any home mechanic. US Patent D798197 , Made in the USA.

My setup: Cervelo Rca with ETap Short Cage. .

My setup: Cervelo Rca with ETap Short Cage. Cassette 12x32 teeth and chainrings 52-34 (I usually use 52-36 and 11x26 teeth). I need it once in the Pyrenees and Alps for a two week climb. For me, this setup only works in a limited front/rear combination, which I will probably need for this trip anyway. For example, I lose 17t on 12t in the rear and 34t in the front. This is due to the longer chain being installed and the short basket derailleur not tensioning enough chain to clear the bottom of…

Rear Derailleur Insurance

I ride steel hardtails and if you have or don't have a replacement rear derailleur hanger buy this! Buy two. I have a 2004 Jamis Exile that I have updated over the years. Only the frame, the bottom bracket and the cranks of the Truvadiv Isis drive remain original. I converted this bike to a 1X drivetrain by purchasing a 1X9 series BOX Prime 9 rig. Although the BOX Prime 9 rear derailleur was initially misaligned, I purchased both versions of the Wolf Tooth MTB from this link and they moved the…

Absolutely amazing product. I'm a heavy mesomorph, an aspiring cyclist. I'm 6ft 4" and definitely not built for climbing steep slopes. I had an 11-32 with a compact in front of it. I thought 32 was the max I could climb, but I didn't like it. I rode my bike and just thought it would be like this. 40 cadence increases over 8% at a heart rate of 165+. I was able to work for about an hour and then the next 3 hours absolutely screwed up. Not fun at all. Enter the wolf tooth along with an 11-42…

Good product required for a cassette over 36t

This is great. I bought it instead of the cheaper ones because I knew it would work, which the knockoffs don't. I have it on an 11-42 cassette with a Shimano Sora RD-3500ss derailleur. Sora alone can do 36 all the way with the b-screw, that gives me 42. Sora's official derailleur is 32 teeth max, but if you're familiar with big cassettes, you know that's conservative. I can't tell if you need a derailleur with a longer basket like the one I use, so I don't know if this would work for one with a

Hardware Missing

Update: 3 Stars TLDR - Check shifter housing flex and cable tension. You may need a longer shifter cable and housing. Works with 8-speed 11-40T cassette on long RD cage only with max 30T sprocket size. I returned the first purchase and ordered again. This time I received the right item with the right mounting hardware. The hanger was well positioned. However, be careful not to over-tighten the mounting nut in the switch hanger. permission, very appropriate. I added some ASC-1 anti-seize…

This seems to be the answer:

Originally when I had the idea of turning it into a single (and I needed a big rear cassette to give me some more bass) I thought I needed a long cage derailleur, but I realized that the problem wasn't with chain winding, but with releasing the kick wheel over the larger sprocket. I used this to get my short cell 105 to work with 11-36 coming from 12-30. The front double was also converted to a single. It was only a bike ride but installation was pretty easy - I reversed screw B and screwed…

No need to upgrade to a longer basket derailleur

Short story: This allowed me to keep a short bottom bracket derailleur (Shimano Ultegra) when I went from a 12-25 cassette to an 11-34 cassette. (10 speed) I wasn't sure if that would work but figured for $20 and the change is worth a try. I'm glad I did - works great, no complaints! Longer story: A huge TCR 1 that I bought from a friend. I love this bike but I hate its really tight gearing as I live in hilly terrain. But it has decent components - mostly Ultegra but Crank is a really good FSA…
