Description of Wolo 830 Sherman Tank Compressor

The compact one-piece design has two steel mounting brackets that are welded to the tank, making installation easier then conventional onboard air systems. Heavy duty 1-gallon tank is painted black to prevent rust and corrosion. 12-volt motor is balanced to precision and is hidden inside the tank’s housing. Cooling fins allow the compressor to operate at a lower temperature, preventing overheating. Built-in pressure switch, pressure gauge and quality brass fittings.

Neat little unit: lighting and power

Very happy with the combo unit, it has been working for several weeks with regular use, no problems with it so far, everything works very well, no noise, fairly quick recovery time .

No noise! :) in spare parts

The product was very quiet when on and easy to work with. The 1 gallon tank is perfect for my train and I can fill my tires with the included inner tube. While I put it on my train horns you can use the bike pump at the same time because there are 2 different nozzles. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Air is leaking from all connections

Bought the unit, plugged it in and quickly began to leak air from the tank. Use soap and water at dawn to make sure there are air leaks at each connection point - some a little, some a lot!. I removed all connections and sealed them with teflon tape. None of them had Teflon tape or other thread lubricant from the factory. Once I sealed them everything works fine. But very disappointed that I had to repair it before it could be used. To stay updated.

Works right out of the box

Smaller than I thought, but it's a good thing. Installed to power Wolo (847) Siberian Express Air Horn - 12 volt electromagnet, black. This will give me two or three good shots before I cut. I recommend using a relay and mounting it where it will only fill when the switch is on. You can't hear it when the car is running. My first compressor failed after about 30 days. Compressor number two failed after five months. If it works, kill it.

Good compressor for my purposes but poor QC by wolo

I use this product primarily to install a train horn, but I also like the included air hose for potential tire pressure emergencies. In any case, I am generally satisfied with the purchase, but the pressure gauge attached to the device is defective and poorly constructed. The numbered and marked plastic element in the gauge is deformed and prevents the needle from moving past the reading of 65-70 psi. I've already replaced the pressure gauge, but it's definitely annoying that something with…
