They should be snug to keep sand and rocks out. They are great for all water sports and when they fit well we will sit in them.

They did exactly what we expected. In the water park that we visit often, there is a very hot concrete area. When there aren't that many people, the floor gets very hot and we get blisters. I have to wear these shoes to help with the heat. They do not slip on slippery surfaces, withstand descents well, do not slip and do not leave feet scratching on uneven surfaces.

Very comfortable and great traction but ripped. We walked through Tennessee Gatlinburg to the falls. We wore our normal shoes on the hike and then put them on to explore the waterfall/water. Every couple (five in our family) had torn toes. The traction was amazing so I gave them 3 stars instead of 1. We did slide over wet rocks with the shoes but they were great and didn't slide. I wish they had lasted longer. They are true to size.

These are NOT meant to be wet outside of the home or other clothing items! Buy socks and put on shoes. Maybe if they called socks with hard bottoms that would be more appropriate but still they just don't feel good to wear after the first time. I don't suffer from "smelly feet" but let me tell you, I took them off after a few hours of wearing them and they SMELL TERRIBLE! My guess is that they're made out of non-breathable material, so wearing them in the water might only offer some protection,

Perfect fit. My son has very wide, fat feet and they fit him perfectly like a pair of socks with soles. They are really thin and well made, not cheap. The internal removable liner comes out very easily which is the only thing I was skeptical about, but for $5.09 I would say I got a great water boot, especially for the low price. It's super cute! But reading other reviews and observing how they fit my feet, I feel like my big toes are starting to come out on top over time. I hope not immediately, I will not go to them.
