Great all round gravel tire

Great tire. They roll fast on dirt and asphalt. Cornering grip is excellent (better than the XPlor MSOs I've had before). After 1200 miles the center rear profile is almost completely gone, but the side lugs still grip soft things well. They handle dirt surprisingly well and seem to shrug it off quickly. On gravel I run 35psi front and 40psi rear (I weigh about 185 pounds).

DO NOT BUY IF WORKS WITH LIGHTS

In the short time I've had them I've become a pro at changing lightbulbs. I've read everywhere that you can run these tubeless tires with tubes if you don't have tubeless rims. Not correct. I got so many apartments just for driving a mile on a regular pavement. I would give them a great rating maybe if I was using a full tubeless rig but unfortunately despite a lot of googling that you can use inner tubes in a tubeless tire this is simply not the case. The picture above is after I put in the…

Leaks on tubeless

After checking the tires, this one is in stock. I'm having the same issues as some of the other reviews with the tubeless setup deflating quickly. There are production pits on the sidewalls that are defective and allow a surprising amount of air to escape. I was hoping that adding more Stan would solve this problem, but after switching back to pounds and monitoring constantly, I gave up. I don't expect Revane to return so hopefully MTB will help. In the photo I've circled the problem and if you

Firmly mounted. - Tires

I found them extremely difficult to mount, almost impossible to mount directly to the rim and I punctured the sidewall on each of the two gravel rides I had, when they were fitted on (that's when they were removed and forcibly tossed in the bin) - I love their look, the ride felt smooth (except for vibration), the grip was solid and their overall performance on gravel was solid (as long as they held) - Still, in their defense, I mounted them on a Velocity A23 and didn't use them tubeless, so my

The holes in the sidewalls are sealed and look like great rubber.

Ordered for trial. Nice matching bead on the Stan Grail rim. No levers were required for assembly, but it took me a little work to do. Shrink the ball with an air compressor. Added sealant and vented. Lots of holes in the sidewalls that closed easily BUT this first one also had lots of really slow leaks that didn't close until it was ridden. I worked on it for several days, airing it, shaking it, rolling it, laying it on its side. No Bone! Contacted WTB and they offered more sealant and a ride.

This tire is tubeless ONLY. what is not in the product description

It might be an exaggeration to accuse the seller of misleading advertising as the WTB label that the tire comes with doesn't mention it either, but this tire is TCS or tubeless. compatible. But the manufacturer doesn't actually write TCS in the product description. It's on the tire itself, but a bit late when the tire is in your hands. You could say it's a big deal. Well, here's the catch. The original Riddler tire that came on my bike is a clincher compatible tire. One could argue that WTB…

Great tire for the price!

The Riddler 45c is a fantastic tire for gravel adventures. Bought a pair to ride in the Oregon outback this summer, including long distances where a 29x2.3 would be handy. In these sections, the Riddler held his ground fully loaded. It gripped well on gravel and gravel descents, offered a fairly plush ride (tubeless 35psi front and 40 rear), and was quick on paved sections of road where it never felt like I was struggling to keep the knobs turning. . Only one flat tire at 405 miles on rough…

Should be strong but durability and wear isn't impressive

My bike: Breezer Radar (Steel Gravel Wheel); Mavic A319 and A719 rims (not tubeless, but taped, valves and tubeless). Sometimes long rides on gravel. Exceptionally tubeless. I've ridden different tires and have 5 bikes (MTB (x2), Cargo, Gravel (x2)) so I have a bit of experience to sort out some of the differences. I can compare them to Clement MSO 700x40 (tubed), Schwalbe Thunder Burt 29x2.1, Panaracer Gravel King SK 700x40 and Specialized Sawtooth 700x42 (last 4 tubeless with Orange Seal)…
