excellent grip especially in mud or loose terrain

I had a set of these tires about 15 years ago and for loose terrain I have not had a better tire. I'm glad I finally got a new pair of these sneakers. In this price range they are great. I installed it fairly quickly, no tools required other than a tire pump. They feel a bit odd on tarmac, and the rear end wears out especially quickly if you ride tarmac too much (at least my old ones ripped a bit on tarmac). One of them looked like the sidewall was slightly deformed when it arrived, but once on

Very disappointed but try again

I bought these tires on October 12, 2020 and I was delighted with them. I've heard a lot about WTB tires, especially this particular tire. I was very disappointed that after only a few rides the sidewall failed. As you can see from the photo, the rubber spikes remained on the tire. I didn't even get a chance to ride them off-road. After just a few trips into town on city streets, I got an apartment. I couldn't figure out how the first time. The apartment has been renovated and newly occupied…

Great Tire - Sports

I bought this tire to replace the original tire on my mountain bike. (I rode for tarmac courses for a year, it wrecked my tire. Advice, don't ride a road bike with a mountain bike.) It was easy to change, especially for those used to changing cleats. (Make sure you face the direction you are putting it on when installing as this is a directional tire.) I feel like this tire has allowed me to get more grip to get off the ground faster to take off. -Still. It also helps me on difficult climbs, as

Long Use Test

Well after more than 5 years I'm back to buy another tire. I bought my old tire in 2012. My old tire is still rideable, but I hit really nasty rocks on steep descents and it just feels good to have a new tread pattern on the front. I tried to put another brand on the back (Panaracer Fire XC). It had high reviews but I found I couldn't easily do a short controlled slide with another brand. As a last resort, I prefer to lock the rear wheel, maybe a 6 inch skid, so I can correct course. With the…

great tyre. in Tires & Tubes

After a couple of long rides I'm very happy with the rear tire I bought. It's thicker than the stock tire that came with my mountain bike and the tread is really grippy. I walked through the softly packed sand material and while my front wheel sank into the ground and didn't want to go forward anymore, my rear wheel dug further and further forward. The bike sank about 2 inches in that sandy stuff (to the rim) but I was still able to move forward. That's not my achievement. I almost had a heart…
