Very disappointed, the scissors are made in China!

I was looking forward to this set of utility knives because they had to be made in Germany. I wanted quality. The knives are made in Germany and the scissors in China. This set will be coming back and I'm so disappointed!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Can't remember

A different kind of brand that I love.

First, the products I received are marked "Made in Germany". Not China as the review says. As expected, the knives are quite sharp. My first Wüsthof knives were forged, so I preferred the cheaper stamped knives. I've read several articles about the differences. One benefit was that the thinner blade made it easier to cut delicate foods like ripe tomatoes. I've made sure it's true. As such, this product is a welcome addition to my kitchen arsenal.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • useless features

Perfect for every day

Wüstof knives are always a good choice. I have about a dozen or more. I wanted to write off a few with scratched plastic handles. These are seriously the best quality. These are the ones I pursue first every day. They are of good quality, comfortable to hold and easy to keep sharp (in my knife block). The price is great for this package. I even bought a few more sets for Christmas gifts. You will be spoiled as soon as you use them. No regret

Sharp, works well after a few weeks

Two knives are sharp and cut very well. I was going to give 4 stars because of the scissors but that's personal preference. The scissors can be disassembled quite easily. While that's great because they're easy to clean, sometimes they just fall apart if you open them too far or if you accidentally let go of one side and the other dangles. No big deal, they cut and clean well. In terms of duration, I've only had them for a few weeks and so far so good.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Negative impression

Country of origin misleading

Knife from Solingen but scissors from China. Also note that these knives are definitely not forged knives (as precisely noted in another review) - they are much thinner and very light compared to the original Wusthof forged knife set. That aside, they seem to be great paring knives and worth the money — but only because the set was bought for $25 on Black Friday. I wouldn't spend $80 on this set - buying the original forged steel knives separately would be a better purchase

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other picks

Made in China - see pictures

First of all I bought my first set of Wustof blocks almost 30 years ago and every piece works as good as new today. I knew they would be of lower quality when ordering, but I didn't expect them to be cheaper than the $10 I bought at Walmart (see side-by-side comparison in the photos). All comparison photos are taken with my high-end Classic set. As you can see there is a significant difference in the thickness of the metal. They are very fragile and look like they are about to break. As willing

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

An economical version of the Classic line of knives.

I received several knives from the Wüsthof Classic line as gifts. I needed a few more and thought that would be nice as they carry the Wüsthof name. I was wrong. If you own anything from the Classic range you will immediately notice the difference and how affordable they are. After a bit of research I plan to do before buying, the main difference is that the Classic line knives are forged while the Gourmet lines are stamped. It doesn't seem like a huge difference, but it is. The knives are…

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Write later

Eternal Knives! If Gordon Ramsay likes her, who am I to disagree!

I was just looking for kitchen scissors. They glide everywhere without much effort. But best of all, you can spread the handles and separate them in less than two seconds. For the same tasks, you can use ordinary scissors. But you can never clean them properly. I decided not to infect my family with all the bacteria lurking around that pivot point of the scissors. They are more expensive than generics. But an extra charge for the doctor's visit. Your family is happy, healthy and doesn't miss…

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • almost never
