This collar changed everything for our dog! We bought this to prevent our 120 lb mastiff mix puppy from getting bitten when he was too excited and/or excited. He's not aggressive, but sometimes he looks like a hysterical baby. I really like this collar, it works exactly as described and the results were immediately visible. It's not harsh or mean, it's just that the dog smells bad. I like that there is a manual option for all three settings, although an automatic setting would be nice (which I found out after using it for a week). This seems to work for my dog and I love that I can change the amount of citronella thrown out. He doesn't mind wearing a collar and it's really effective in all three cases. I have a very territorial German Shepherd/Husky mix who thinks he has to bark at every sound, person or other dog. I like that I can train him in several different levels of containment.
