Good pencil sharpener. To be clear, this is a manual sharpener. It doesn't use batteries. It doesn't consume electricity. Turn the handle by hand. Suitable for standard diameter pencils. It will not sharpen thick pencils and greasy crayons. It has a nice sharp spiralizer and does a very good job. The suction cup base works well on smooth, non-porous surfaces. The transparent plastic case collects chips but may break or crack if dropped. Overall this is a very good traditional pencil sharpener.

Much nicer than an electric or cordless sharpener. The suction power is excellent and durable, and the pencil tips couldn't be sharper. Suction does not work at all. The design is so bad. The plastic part of the lid (pink/green/blue) can be removed to empty the pen waste bin. However, you have to hold it tight when sharpening and it easily slips out of your hand. I think it's tolerable for adults, but my poor nieces and nephews who were so excited to use it struggled to use it. You have to learn how to use this little guy because the grinders are so aggressive that they suck up your pencil and won't let you turn the handle.
