a great alternative to non-Bluetooth stereo systems. and more!

My mp3 player is connected to one of these receivers in my workshop and it works great. Eliminates the need to carry unnecessary cables, players and chargers every time. You can even set up satellite dishes with it. Simply connect the signal from the satellite box to the transmitter and take the receiver with you. There's no input lag as they're analogue, so perfect if you're a fan of satellite TV and need something similar to use with a portable TV.

it's good but not great.

I bought it directly from the x10 website and received it last week. It connects easily and comes with everything you need to do it. I have the transmitter downstairs and the receiver in my bedroom above this room. The picture is fine, but there is background noise from time to time and it seems that the picture sometimes shines a little and then corrects itself even when you point the antennas at each other. I've tried all channels, but I can't get the perfect result. I think most of the…

When I took it up the stairs in the back room I got sound and picture but neither were good. He tried all four channels, but none helped. The room I put the receiver in is on the next floor where the transmitter is. I can't say exactly what the straight line distance between the receiver and transmitter is, but I think it's around 35 to 45 feet. I am really disappointed in the…

A working solution if you don't expect miracles

I've been using two old 2.4GHz devices for more than three years. The service is consistently good and met my expectations. I have a set in my garage that connects to a standard definition satellite receiver and a CRT TV. It works well at a transmission distance of about 40 feet and goes through two walls and the roof of a garage. The other feeds an HD satellite receiver through two interior walls to a small flat screen TV in my kitchen. The result isn't HD on a kitchen appliance, but is…
