XP600 Xcelite 6-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set with Slotted and Phillips Tips Review

Chromebook repair is a small part of my job. The screwdrivers found on various Chromebook and iPad repair lists are too cheap and round off the screw heads. They are perfect for this type of work and I no longer have to worry about screw damage.

For the money and brand I expected more. Very poorly made and not at all comfortable to hold or use. Uncomfortable and unfinished plastic on each driver. The upper vertebrae are rough and will not rotate without squeaking or grinding. I am no longer a fan of Xcelite and will never buy it again. Overpriced and bad value.

Medium precision drivers. I've bought dozens of types of precision drivers to find the "perfect" driver. It's just fine. A bit chunky and big for a precise driver and I have big hands. The cross-section appears to be poorly trimmed while other brands maintain they seem to slip out of the screw even in brand new condition.

I'm a new builder electrician and specialize in controls so I use this product every day. I have been using this driver set for 6 years. The design of this tool is amazing. The ends will never twist or break, even when used to separate items that other tools might bend or break. NO damage to them! I lost the part I use every day (XP3060 ESD) so I bought another set. And there is a downside. You only get them in a set.

Great set, great price. Unlike many "jewelry" screwdrivers, their shanks are perfectly straight. The blades are finely ground, blued and hardened. I haven't tested them to pull staples or use them as chisels - nor do I intend to. They are designed for precise work and perfectly meet all requirements. The soft end of the handle rotates easily in the palm of your hand for easy two-finger operation. The suitcase is thin, but who keeps them in a suitcase? These are not typical Chinese imitations…

I was initially disappointed with this set. This was my first decent set of this type and I found it cheap as I only dealt with mechanical screwdrivers and other relatively heavy tools. It's been about 5 years. I've had about 4 or 5 other precision screwdriver kits for small electronics and have used a few others including expensive Wiha and Wera models and cheap ones like the ProsKit.
