Expensive but gets the job done

This is the second carbon fender I've bought and it offers an efficient mount for two water bottles, a spare hose with loops and a tail light behind the bike seat. . It sits high enough that the bag can be placed under the seat.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Dull packaging

Good product. Difficult to install

I bought this to hold the gorilla cages in the back of the saddle. The product is durable and can be configured in many ways. My only complaint is that it's difficult to fit on the seat unless you remove the saddle. The installation of the bottle cage screws is also not very easy due to the small gap. Otherwise the product is recommended.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Reliability

The product is examined and looks good. Unfortunately

The product is instructive and looks good. Unfortunately the strap holding the Mezzo bag broke within 6 rides. I contacted xlab about a possible replacement. I am waiting for your reply. The rating is updated. UPDATED 10/30/17. As I suspected, the support service is working correctly. A new belt change is on the way. Thanks XLab. Climbers 3 to 5.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Some defects

Great solution for adding bottles!

I have two Xlab gorilla cages on Wing. On my first ride, the Wing carried two 24-ounce bottles with a medium-sized padded seat bag hanging underneath. The ride was anything but slick pavement, and the wing held up well. The wing flexes moderately as the bottle is pulled out of the side cage but has not yet snapped. No issues with tightness on the saddle.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expandable

Xlab Carbon Wing in bottle cages

I was looking for ways to carry water on my Trek SpeedConcept 9.9. I tried Bontrager's high-speed systems, they were cheap and noisy. When I switched the saddle to the Adamo, I couldn't attach it to the seat either. I received the Xlab and was immediately impressed. Easy installation in less than 10 minutes. the bottle holds very well, doesn't rattle, is easy to reach. Bottom line: if you're serious about reducing time and preventing dehydration, invest in one of these.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Available in black only

So far so good for cycling

I've had different seat frames and they all broke on the first ride or two. This one is holding up well so far. I installed it myself, but I have a good relationship with the mechanics. It's really great to have two extra bottles of water which gives me more distance to my first stop. Be careful the first time you switch legs, you'll have to tip the bike or you'll get a big bruise on the inside of your leg! Not a design flaw, just remember it's bigger. Have fun driving everyone.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No results

Nice addition to bottle cages

I bought this for my wife's bike because her new Cervelo has a custom aero seatpost that her previous rear hydration system didn't work with. It worked great and I even added two XLAB gorilla cages because they seemed to hold up better. My two comments: 1. The studs stick out too far and interfere with any pocket you put in. I had to file the studs with a hacksaw or the bag inside would be torn by the ends of the studs.2. It would be ideal if XLAB developed a taillight that would work with this

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Clarity

For the serious rider

When I was training for my first triathlon I hated stopping pedaling to get a water bottle from the down tube cage, take a sip and then stop to put it down back down. When I also looked at the aerodynamics of the seat tube and down tube, it turned out that they created wind currents that degraded the aerodynamics of my carbon fiber bike. Also, I had a bike bag under the seat that was also sticking out and might have added drag. So I turned to the XLab Carbon Fender! I chose the carbon model…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A few little things
