Description of πŸ”Œ YaeCCC Auto Voltage Transformer: High-Quality AC Variable Voltage Converter for Reliable Power Conversion - 110VAC Input, 0-130VAC (500W)

- Enclosed, non-isolated, Adjustable transformer, with Output Volt Meter.On/Off Power Switch(Lighted),5A fuse & power cord. - Over-voltage protection, the use of more security.Contact voltage transformer, wide voltage range (0-130V). - Built-in copper coil, material quality, more secure and durable.High efficiency and with no waveform distortion. - Suit for home coffee roasting,Motor Speed control,Label Printing Machine,EE Labs,Test for Railroad Switching, Power Supplies, Satellite,Equipment,Telecommunication Equipment. Please note that most device have surge (when first turn on) much higher than operating amp rating. E.g, motor with 5 amp rating may have over 10 amp surge, and you will need 10 amp transformer.

Great Variac for the price

Works great. Can't complain about the $50 Varioc, does exactly what it's supposed to do with every penny. I even modified my digital multimeter. Ideal for improving accuracy and getting more information.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Super for Lichtenburgbrand

Super for Lichtenburgbrand! Make sure the correct amplifiers are selected for the transformer you are using. I bought a smaller, cheaper transformer for my microwave transformer and the fuse blew immediately. This one is perfect!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Basically ok, but...

Works for my needs.

I use Lasko to adjust the fan speed. What I do is set the fan to its lowest speed, then connect the fan to this transformer and control the speed from there. I only use this when I want the fan speed to be below the lowest fan setting. I also measured the output voltage of the transformer and set the marker to 110 volts. It can go above 110 volts so be careful. During use, it did not heat up and did not warm up.

Good value for money!

I've needed a Variac for a test stand for a long time and have looked for a used one at many bone yards. In the end I couldn't take it and ordered this one from Revain. It works well and feels pretty solid. A small meter is handy for measuring line voltage in a stadium, but you'll probably want to use an external meter for anything that requires high accuracy. I would recommend this Variac as a good low cost solution.

VOLTAGE is higher than the dial gauge.

Good. It was a day late, I bought it because I needed it ASAP and was told it could be delivered the next day, it took 2.NEXT, it's accurate to 30VAC. Then it shows above eg. 120VAC is 133VAC. Be careful. Now the thing is, these were voltage readings with NO load. It seems heavy and I only need it to drop the AC voltage to test the relay. I gave 4 stars only because of the voltage difference on the actual performance dial. Make sure you test it before use so you don't blow smoke out of what you

Pros
  • Excellent working efficiency
Cons
  • Negative present

Just received the unit and checked the voltages with a multimeter. It offers a different range than what is displayed on the device. Instead of 0-130 VAC it supplies 0-150 VAC. I recommend calibrating and inserting your own markers with tape so you know what you have. For example, to get 100 VAC, 110 VAC, and 120 VAC, I need to set the dial to 88, 96, and 104, respectively. My wall voltage is 123.4VAC, which may be part of the problem - the device can calculate with a lower wall voltage. But in

Useful when mains voltage fluctuates

When testing mains powered electronics you must work with 120VAC above and below normal. This device can operate on AC power from 0 to almost 150 VAC. You can safely monitor the current (clamp ammeter) when the voltage changes. Replacing the fuses with items that short out off the normal line, 120 VAC, saves. Follow the current-voltage curve from zero and keep it at a safe level by finding the problem in the Device Under Test (DUT). I also use a CVT to ensure the repaired units can handle low…

works well for the price.

The volume meter matches the markings on the dial but none of them match the actual output voltage. I get 15V, with a setting of 26V I get 30V etc. With a setting of 130V I get an output of 148V. Output peaks -1.3V at maximum output (148V) and -0.6V at near minimum setting (2 V) intermittent (2 Hz, smooth peak) . Aside from the fact that this peak voltage is +/- 0.1V about 70% of the time, the remaining 30% is tied to this peak. the dial rotated several times from minimum to maximum and to…
