Nice lock if/when you get it right.

I installed a lock on an old door and ended up re-drilling all the holes in the door and frame to fit this lock. for the lock to work properly. The bolt must sit perfectly, as even slight friction will render the lock unusable. Yael/August includes a small magnet, but this magnet is missing from the kit, instructions and parts list. . This appears to be part of an August "door sensor" kit that allows the lock to detect when a door is left ajar or partially open. Again, there are no instructions

Get the Zwave Plus module instead of the August module

I have no complaints about Yale or this Assure model. As a stand alone lock it works great. And here is the August module. and customer service in August. Person. What a nightmare. I bought it in February 2019, it is now November 2019. The lock did not work with Google Home and did not connect to the WiFi bridge. Customer call #1 - reboot, factory reset, etc. Nothing works. Number 2 - they sent the August block as a replacement but it still doesn't work. Number 3, they sent me a replacement…

Best digital door lock on the market IMHO

I bought this digital door lock because it was the only one on the market that had all of the following: 1) Has a key fuse (electronics can fail and is the only if you entered my apartment, I couldn't afford to take the risk of not getting in. If you have a house with a different door, you risk being left without a key) 2) Automatic lock and unlock function based on my presence on the phone (this lock excels at that. I just have to turn on bluetooth, which is for my car anyway. No need to open…

Initial setup of the Yale/August integration is challenging. Otherwise Super Smart Lock

For the August/Yale integration, the initial setup seems to have been designed by someone who said we should make it as confusing as possible. TLDR: Instructions for 3 different apps (Bilt, Yale Access, August), installation requires ignoring the image from the August app and scrolling down. The app freezes several times during setup on iPhone 12 Pro Max. In the end, the setup is complete and the lock works great. After installation, the application is suitable for everyday use.
