The toy is not a tool. Do not buy

There are no stars for this item. It's just wasted money that you can't buy. This is a toy designed to get people to spend money to get rid of the hassle of returning an item.

Large Belt Tensioning Tool

A very useful tool that many people don't know exists. This is an inexpensive tool that can save you quite a bit of money having to change your own belt (stretch belt) if your vehicle type requires it.

Pros
  • This belt tensioning tool is used to install the drive belt, which is an idler belt and the belt tensioner is not used.
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Good quality. New belts may be too tight for the tool to work.

Didn't work initially as my 2006 BMW 550 had the hose fitting in the way. I managed to bend the bracket and it worked. However, I could only tighten the old belt as the new one was too tight for the tool.

Worked to replace my 2008 550i AC belt

. I cursed this process of reinstalling the AC belt because without this tool it was almost impossible to return the belt.
