Solid consistent performance

Man, I just love bokuju ink. So deep black it's hard to describe. Charcoal black with a surprisingly light sheen after drying. It has a fast drying time, which pleasantly surprised me considering how wet I applied it to the paper. I've used it with all my diving tips with great success and ease of use, as well as my folded blade pens. I haven't tried brushing with it yet. The main uses are writing letters, keeping a journal and playing with word art.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Working speed

Excellent mascara, I will buy more.

Sumo ink bought for the first time. I ran out of my current sharpie ink, so I poured it into a jar with a dip pen. It looked thinner than my previous mascara but didn't bleed when used properly. It dries fairly quickly and is very pigmented. After drying there is a slight sheen. I would buy it again but who knows when that will be. I write quite a bit, but this jar is so big it will last at least a year or even longer. I would recommend. Also, I really like the can. I'm a fan of packaging.

Pros
  • Light and water resistant
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Blacker than black.

Yasutomo Sumi Green Bottle is by far my favorite fountain pen ink. I need to test more black black (which I believe) and I've used a lot of them. In fact, it seems to have texture. It dries semi-glossy and is easy to spread. To be honest I'm not sure what makes him different from others. The only thing I'd like to add is that I've never diluted it with water, so I can't comment on ablutions. For me, this is my go-to high contrast ink and it doesn't seem to "smudge" as much as other heavy black…

Pros
  • Black Ink
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Nice and dark and works like normal Sumi ink

This ink doesn't bleed very well from the pen, but flows well from the brush. They are nice and dark and look like typical sumi inks. They contain a small amount of shellac for added water resistance and I recommend mixing the ink before use. This ink contains camphor, calcium chloride and isothiazolinone. I have never had a problem with camphor and use camphor in granule form in topical creams. Isothiazolinones can cause allergic reactions in some people. I'm not one of them. I have had no…

Pros
  • Lightfast and waterproof
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

it dries fairly quickly and doesn't have an oily effect when lit. It's only black, that's what I was looking for. As far as fading goes, I haven't had any issues with fading so far. I use it with brushes and pens with no problems. I even use it on a variety of papers as long as they aren't very thin and the ink works well. The ink itself does not spoil quickly when poured into a small mug. This gives you a good working time, which is great because there's nothing worse than the ink drying on…

Pros
  • Sumi ink is made from high quality vegetable black.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
