Check block connections when purchasing pressure gauges!

Some reviews say it's not needed but my Senville definitely needed a bigger 5/16 connector. Yellow Jacket may have offered an option when I bought their gauge. Wasted valuable time waiting for that expensive adapter if I had known. When buying pressure gauges, check the connections of your device!

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

High quality from a known name

I wanted a set and wanted good ones where I didn't have to buy twice. Amazon has bundles where you can buy two for under ten dollars. Went back to my known good brand and bought these instead. Very good quality and I'm sure it will last a long time. Used once and well sealed like all my other Yellow Jacket products.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

It's a good brand to carry around

From what I understand Yellow Jacket is a good brand to work with. I'm not a ventilation specialist. I bought this piece for a friend who is. He helped me install a ductless MrCool unit in my home and we hit a snag when he realized his standard equipment didn't fit the smaller air conditioner fitting. This adapter worked as expected.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Good but not great

You MUST unscrew the central part of the Schrader valve pusher!

Revain didn't list this but you MUST unscrew the center with needle nose pliers so it *requires* a Schrader valve depressor to pull a vacuum on the mini-split (underside service port with Schrader If you don't, you will think you are creating a vacuum when you are not.

Pros
  • Gorgeous Design
Cons
  • Clarity

Freon Charger Adapter. Unlike your standard air conditioners that use 1/4" cooling fittings, all of the mini splits I've come across use 5/16" fittings. Don't ask me why, 'cause it's beyond stupid. However, save yourself some headaches and a lot of wasted time by purchasing one of these Yellow Jacket 1/4 male to 5/16 female adapters.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Poorly Thought Out

Fits Mini Split 5/16 Air Conditioner to 1/4 Vacuum Line

This adapter allows you to use a car vacuum pump with the R410A mini split air conditioner, which is used in most modern mini split systems. Like all Yellow Jacket products, this is a well built tool that works as intended and should last a long time. Feels solid and probably suitable for professional use. Both ports are threaded for a secure connection. The 5/16" side has a core pusher that connects to your mini split and a Schrader core on the 1/4" side that connects to your vacuum line or…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • The list will be long.

There are a lot of useless reviews and information here.

This YellowJacket adapter is required for mini-split operation. It works better than any other brand I've used. Some of the reviews are full of nonsense. 1. This has nothing to do with being able to use a car vacuum pump or the bearing of your gauge set. Most of you know this but have decided to throw it away as some of the above reviewers will likely seek professional help in the future. The flex is good as most mini splits have the service port on the bottom and it's difficult to put straight

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
