Description of Black Zeiss Touit 2.8/12 Wide-Angle Camera Lens for Fujifilm X-Mount Mirrorless Cameras

EXCELLENT RESOLUTION AND HIGH CONTRAST: Richly saturated and vivid colours are a must in the creation of lasting impressions. However, stray light within an optical system leads to a lightening of the image that is particularly noticeable in the shadows. This reduces image contrast, with the result that exposures lack contrast and appear faded. To avoid this, ZEISS combines various specially developed technologies to reduce the undesirable effects of stray light. ASPHERICAL DESIGN: The asperical lens design ensures consistent imaging performance throughout he entirefocusing range as well as shapness to the periphery of the image. The asphere's morecomplex surface profile can reduce or eliminatespherical aberration and also reduce other optical aberrations compared to a simple lens. SMOOTH AND RELIABLE AUTOFOCUS: The design of the autofocus system requires an extremely accurate shifting of particular lens groups. The focusing system of ZEISS lenses is designed to ensure a robust and smooth-running autofocus mechanism with the best imaging performance. FLOATING ELEMENTS DESIGN: Today's camera technologies and high-resolution sensors demand continuous improvement of lens performance. Thanks to the use of the latest floating element design principles, optical aberration effects in ZEISS lenses are reduced to a minimum throughout their entire focusing range.

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Got pros: Unique in sharpness, micro-contrast and color reproduction width. Fast autofocus. Beautiful bokeh. Awesome construct. Its cons: Too high price, alas. But there is always a price to pay for Zeiss.

I cut myself well lenses

. The lens is so sharp for macro photography and portraits. Zeiss is never cheap. With lenses, you absolutely get what you pay for. Well built and feels great when adjusting the aperture. I use photos of rings and details for the wedding and I have no regrets.

Much more useful than I expected

We often read that macro lenses need to be long to provide a sufficient working distance. Recommended Sony 90mm macro lens (which I also have). But it is difficult. 90% of the time I need a macro, I use the Zeiss 50mm Touit. Its working distance is sufficient, it is light and compact. And the picture quality is amazing!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Fantastic Light lens

It's not as sharp as my wide open Fuji 16mm 1.4 lens but I still like it a lot and the IQ output is still high quality. Build quality doesn't feel as solid as my Fuji lens, but it's ok because I LOVE the lightness of this lens. It's not plastic, it just feels a lot lighter, which is good because I don't want all my lenses to be huge and heavy.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • boring packaging

Gemstone Zeiss Macro Planar

This is a lens sleeper. Very sharp and popular bokeh in macro shots with shallow depth of field. I still play around with the lens, but it's a keeper for me. It hunts in autofocus, but most macro shots are taken in manual mode. I'll try this with some extension tubes just for fun and see what happens. Very light lens. The build quality is good but the weight is not too heavy.

This lens is amazing, I use it on my XT1 for .

This lens is fantastic, I use it on my XT1 for a lot of live photos where I can get a few feet close to the stage. Sharpness and colors are fantastic. This is the best lens I have for my Fuji arsenal and I have a 23mm and a 56mm. It focuses better than those lenses, and the XT1 doesn't focus well, especially in low light. Worth every penny. If you are reading this review, don't waste your time and just get it.

Neither here nor there

Pros: Zeiss Pop1.8 maximum aperture Stylish looks (lens only) Allows nice pictures Cons (v2 firmware): Noisy AF Slow AFAF causes the lens/camera vibrates noticeably Glitch Constant clicks in AF-C Ugly lens hood Manual focus isn't smooth - drive-by-wire on a DC motor I really wanted this lens to be liked as the equivalent of 50mm FF on APS-C, and it's great , but I can't use it for much other than photos of - all the autofocus issues. And if I was just taking photos, I'd prefer a manual focus…

It was great, met my specific needs.

At first I only used it for photos, not videos. Another thing is that I'm an ordinary everyday amateur and not a pixel scout. When I was looking for a new camera form factor, the quality of the end result was very important to me. So much so that I quickly settled on the Nikon J4. It was good but not suitable for my specific needs. So I switched to Sony. My first thought was Sony's E-mount Prime, the SE20F28, which as the name suggests is 20mm/2.8. However, the 30mm equivalent felt a bit wider…

Great 12mm UWA prime lens for Sony-E and Fuji-X, but overpriced.

This lens has been around for a while, but as it's relatively rare I thought I'd share a few thoughts. Introduced in 2013 at a sobering price of $1,250, it was both one of Zeiss' first autofocus lenses and the straightest wide-angle prime lens available with Fuji X and Sony E mounts. Honest reviewers rightly rated it. for optical performance and build quality that fell short of the gold standard of other established Zeiss lenses, and for the money it was hard to recommend compared to the…

Zeiss 50mm/f2.8 for Fuji X-Mount cameras

This rating relates to the Zeiss 50/2.8 Fuji X-Mount lens. It is made in Japan. I shoot with Fuji X-T4 and Fuji X-T200. Bought this lens for street photography, portraits and close-ups. All lens functions work correctly with both cameras. Aperture clicks are more positive than Fuji lenses. It weighs 10 ounces. I've been using Zeiss lenses since my Zeiss Ikon Contina Folding 45mm/f2.8 Tessar. They then used Contax cameras with lenses made by Zeiss (Japanese). I think Zeiss lenses are well…
