Very dissatisfied with the purchase. First came a short of the six screws needed to connect the top and bottom pieces. Second, when I tried to install the screws, the extruded plastic covered one of the screw holes. Even after I unboxed it, the incorrect extrusion caused so much friction that the two pieces couldn't slide freely over either bar. Mounting at an angle is extremely easy. You're in business in 90 seconds. Building a sled takes a lot more time, but it's not impossible if you take your time and have basic woodworking skills. The included instructions will give you basic sled drawings, but if you let your imagination run wild the possibilities are endless. I make quite a lot of picture frames so I built the slide at a 45 degree angle to speed up the process and improve accuracy. I built a sled with hardwood skids to keep seasonal movement to a minimum. For the most part the slide worked fine, but I've recently tried wide board frames (mercilessly) and couldn't close the mitres properly. I really wanted to love her. As a Shopsmith owner, my choices are a bit limited. Unfortunately, a great idea and a great design fall apart due to poor design and quality control.
