Perfect and works! in Freeze Plug Type

Awesome Heater! Had to be professionally installed due to all-wheel drive and didn't get on so well. It took the poor guy who did it quite a while to catch it. Yes, of course they paid for it too! But it was worth it. Starts at zero degrees with no problems.

worked great on a 2011 Duramax

very difficult to install, nothing to do with the product. it's just where it is. You have a dipstick that goes where the product goes. So to help you with the installation, first loosen the dipstick so you can somehow get it out of the way to make the installation easier, and remove the old one.

Pros
  • . Engines and engine parts
Cons
  • Useless features

I'm on my 3rd to Freeze Plug Type

Well I want to give this one a good thumbs up. but I can not. The first two installed failed within a year. They're pretty hard to replace, so you can imagine how angry I was when I had to replace them. twice. but I think on the good side I've learned to change them. If you can find another brand that lasts longer and has good reviews, I would recommend going that route. These just fail after a year of use.

Cons
  • Slightly Torn

Heavy Duty - Better than Auto Parts Store

Installed this heater after two NAPA heaters failed after one season. This cable has an extremely tight fit to connect to a real heater. When mounted on a Duramax unit, it is difficult to get into the correct position to properly insert the electrical connector. I installed the plug on the heater BEFORE installing it in the block. For ease of installation, use a small amount of silicone grease (DIY installation) to facilitate installation. Make sure the heater is fully inserted into the hole in
