This is the worst nail file I have ever tried to use. Actually, I can't use them. It's too thick to get at your nails and won't file your nails like a nail file. The file has pages that are not the file. I will not recommend this file to anyone. He is described as wonderful and is a piece of junk. Ebay sells them for $21.99. What a rip off!

Although some reviews said the file was natural I felt I would like it a little more. I have thick toenails and this is fine, a little leveling would be beneficial. I found it ok for my nails although my wife said it was natural for her. The file size and wrapper are also good. I purchased this file with another purchase, a set of toenail clips specifically designed for trimming thick nails. Tried this file first. Then I tried nail clips. He slung the nail clips over his shoulder and turned back to the file. If the staples don't work I still have the option to file the nail for presentation. This file did the job perfectly. The file comes with a very nice case/holder, has a nice slim design with textured sides and feels very durable. The product has a serious design flaw due to its inability to file nails. The file is basically unusable for the purposes for which it was designed. Good length. Swiping files more forward than backward. Rough side and fine side representing the perfect grit or coarseness. The only thing I personally don't like is the jags on the edges as they reach to the tips of my fingers and toes and barely prevent me from getting the flat side to the edge of the nail. I used a whetstone to remove my teeth while watching TV. In fact, I need to go a little further than just getting rid of my teeth.

I wish this file was rough enough for buffing nails. The file is too coarse for polishing the nails, like 300-grit sandpaper, a metal file. It expands greatly on the nails, causing annoying scratching and damaging the nail. It tears, abrades and damages the keratin layers of the nails. Worst nail polish design (not nail straightening)! The length and weight of this file makes it easier for me to reach down and file my toenails, which need trimming as they often crunch in cycling shoes.
