a little short best straight

These bits arrived in individual plastic cases and still work great. I didn't pay attention to the size information given on the picture in the product description. However, the shaft is too short compared to other brands. This set is very reasonably priced, I would buy it again.

Great for this money.

Different carbide types and grades can make a world of difference in metalworking, but in my experience any old carbide will cut wood fairly well. At least at the production level of the home workshop. At $12 for four, these beats are a great deal. They are similar in quality to the ones you can buy at your local hardware store but are a lot cheaper.

Good enough, not for trimmers

These sets are impressively priced and easy to test. The shanks are round and straight to within .0005" and machined smooth enough to easily fit in the collet and fit snugly. The sharpness of the cutters is quite good, but not polished, so they probably hold their sharpness no worse than mid-range bits. They come in durable plastic holders that protect them when stored indefinitely. or just copy what was on a "reference" beat, but I won't experiment to find out. I think you have to ask yourself

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
