Great for Catfish: Ornaments

This thing is big enough for my standard 10 inch forest catfish to hang around in. He grew out of his old cave and it worked great for him!

Goldfish Like It - Aquarium Decor

This is the perfect hiding place for our big goldfish in our small pond. Considering the price of "Logs" I was looking at it was very reasonable and looked like a log,

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Good overall but...

The cichlids are fighting over this log

This is quite a large log that all the cichlids in the aquarium were fighting over. Now it belongs to Geofagus, but I'm sure when Jack Dempsey grows up he'll take it.

  • Decent performance

Fish need shelter too!

This tree trunk looks absolutely real and is perfect for my little carp pond. The fish love it and it holds all 10 of my little buddies at the same time. I can only imagine what's going on there!

Good but sharp edges

In general the fish like it. I bought it for my 15" Pleco that often sleeps in it. The only problem is that each edge is thin and razor sharp. I ended up getting a riff epoxy and smoothed out all the inlets. Doesn't look that pretty with white epoxy around the edges, but at least it's safe.

Perfect for my 65 gallon tank

I bought a catfish. You need protection. The log served its purpose perfectly and the little fish seem to enjoy swimming in and out. In addition, the tree trunk is a wonderful decoration. I ended up paying $26; the price seems to have gone up a bit since then; hence my rating of 3/5 for value.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Line shorter than other picks

Jack Dempsey loves it. giant size!

Have bought several of these over the years and always end up giving them away because everyone wants them. there is always a win with the fish. Bought for a grown male Jack Dempsey and it's big enough. By the way, this is actually a huge size as stated on the label. It looks natural and it's his favorite spot. The 75 gallon tank goes well with the natural look. Just make sure you sand down any sharp edges. FYI, any jewelry like this, no matter who makes it, will have a spot or two that needs…
