Description of Zoo Med Betta Leaf Hammock

Provides a perfect place for your betta buddy to sleep, play, or relax anytime. Leaf design lets your pal rest on it near the surface of the water just like they do in nature. Helps reduce boredom from captivity and stimulates natural betta behaviors. Inspired by bettas’ wild environment and designed to look naturally great in any betta enclosure. To use, simply place in your aquarium with the included suction cup, and let your pal find it on his own.

Best for a Betta

Okay I thought that was a bit silly but boy was I wrong. Our fish liked it. He lay in it like in a bed. You should place it close to the top of the tank. It was his favorite pastime. Get it for your Betta

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some little things

Good :) (cheaper at the pet store)

My beta cli is too leafy. However, the aquarium foil is much larger than I originally thought. It also sucks up the tank well and is very easy to clean. I recommend this, but it's a lot cheaper if you just pick it up at the pet store!

Pros
  • Good marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

False advertising

Nowhere in this picture or description does it say 'Big Size!' but that's what it says right on the package when I sent it. I have 4 Zoo Med leaf hammocks and ordered these for my friend Betta. It's not what was advertised and it's not what I wanted. The seller must mean an explanation!

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

The fish love it. Easy to use, looks good.

My 2 year old Bette loves it. He's used to levitating much faster on this sheet than on betta balls or in his little lair. Make sure you rinse it thoroughly before putting it in the aquarium as it had a strong odor and a kind of oily film on the material from the packaging.

  • Best in Niche

He is tall! the best in plastic plants

Miss Presenter. The photo shows a small hammock I saw in the store and the dimensions of a large hammock. The "new large size" is too big for my aquarium and the item cannot be returned even if it is unopened. Please refer to the size information before purchasing. I'm only giving 2 stars because it's still a functional betta bed.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • not the best

Just be patient with your betta!

I had a hard time holding the hammock by the suction cup, but with some effort I managed. I had to play with where I put it in his cymbal. My betta (patriot) wanted nothing to do with her at all. I had it on his feeding side (they say they do it to teach them how to use it) but then he stopped eating his food. I ended up moving it to the other side. He still wasn't interested. I lowered the hammock a bit and now he loves it! I keep catching him sitting on it. I'm happy every time I see him on…

Rust outside the box

Bought a pair but one of the boxes is already rusty. The other wire is bare (plastic sheathing defective). I think it will last a week max before it rusts in the water. The reason for the 2 stars is because my betta loves it and will either hide under a leaf or sleep on it. I'm going to use suction cups to make my own wireless hammock. Save money and buy yourself because $7 for a pair of suction cups is mugging. UPDATE: The wire rusted within 2 days even though it was covered in plastic…

Took a while but!

Note: This is a LARGE sheet size. It is not marked as such. Don't worry, that seems like the best size for him to me. My Betta Pluto honestly wouldn't touch it one bit. It wasn't that he didn't like it, it was just that he was obsessed with his floating log. A few weeks later I found him dozing on it. Sailed away as soon as he saw me in the room! Little crook. I left and came back to see him snoozing on it again. He loves it especially when I surround him with milkweed leaves (probably I would…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Minor problems

Roosters love them but the sheet metal rusts

I bought 3 of these, 1 from petsmart and 2 from amazon. I'm torn about this product because it has great pros and cons. On the plus side, most bettas like to rest and sleep about an inch and a half to two inches below the surface of the water. (Make sure you have a lid on your aquarium because using this liner in a small and open tank isn't good for fish anyway, but they can also climb onto the liner and jump out very easily. Water ! ) Anyway, bettas like them and the product has great design…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
