Take that and forget about plastic bottles

It's much better than a DIY plastic Co2 bottle. First off, the kit includes everything you need to get started - solenoid, hose, tank, regulator, needle valve, bubble counter, diffuser. This is a great pack if you don't have one. The pressure is so constant compared to a plastic bottle and after adjusting the needle valve you don't have to do anything until the CO2 is gone. One batch is enough for me for a long time, also due to the excellent sealing of the system. I have a 10 gallon tank and…

Amazing CO2 System/Great Value

This is a great way to add CO2 to your aquarium! You mix citric acid and baking soda on top with a tap and let it sit for a few minutes. I had a working CO2 tank pressure in less than 5 minutes and full pressure in 3-4 hours. I have a 75 gallon tank and judging by my CO2 dripper the diffuser it comes with seems to be enough to get my levels right. It comes with a few extra gaskets and o-rings, a short air line and check valve, a small funnel and extra ceramic discs for the diffuser. THIS DOES…

Finally affordable CO2 for my aquarium!

Wow! I've been procrastinating on adding CO2 to my aquarium for years, it all sounded so expensive and complicated that of course my attempts at creating planted aquariums never really worked out well. This system is AMAZING! You get full customization, just order baking soda and citric acid. The instructions are great, setup takes minutes, and the hardware is solid. I ended up replacing the bubble counter with a stronger one, simply because the one that came with it was gradually losing water,

It is definitely worth it if you use CO2 in your planted aquarium.

Well I've had it for about a month now and I have to say I'm very happy with the setup. I was a bit hesitant at first after reading other reviews but overall this is a good product. Definitely a cheaper alternative to disposable CO2 cartridges. One of the main complaints I've heard is that it leaks. I haven't had any problems with leaks. Another complaint I saw was that the solenoid gets very hot, which it does. As long as it's heating up, it doesn't get so hot that I can't touch it, so it…

Inexpensive and high quality

Just finished setting up the CO2 generator I decided to give a review. Aesthetics: I like the sleek metallic look of the tank. I prefer it to the plastic soda bottles found in most DIY kits. Everything seems solid and made of quality materials. The bottom feels comfortable, so the cylinder does not tip over. I use my own glass diffuser as it blends better with the background, but that's just personal preference. I tried the diffuser that came with the kit and it worked fine. It was just too…

One part didn't fit but Amazon helped me

Let me start by saying that one of the parts didn't fit properly. I'm still giving it 5 stars based on Revain and the seller's response to the situation. The build quality is excellent. The tank is strong and although it has a lot of Chinese decals this doesn't detract from the quality of the steel. I chose this one because it looked like other tanks, but it was the cheapest option. It also comes with a magnet that works great. (For those who don't know, the solenoids connect to your timer…

Great investment for fish and aquatic life

Before I actually talk about the quality/rating of the product, I would first like to address the main complaint people have about all these DIY systems - solenoid overheating. They are sold under different names ZRDR, FZONE etc. In fact, these are the same kits. Most of them may have slight differences in the regulators and/or solenoids. FZONE is more expensive and forces you to buy a lot separately. As for the solenoids - yes, some have problems with overheating and those that don't heat up…

My detailed installation guide

UPDATE April 24th 2021 I've been using this setup for a few months now and it's amazing. I change the baking soda and citric acid about every 2 weeks. The output was consistent and the issues I initially had with the meter not showing accurate readings are no longer an issue. My plants are doing very well. I highly recommend this setting and have changed my rating from 4 stars to 5. Original: After setting it up, I found this CO2 setting amazing. Here are some tips from my experience, step by…
