Not supported by CL but will work with CL

I would have given this unit 5 stars but was told it is not supported by Century Link but a call to CL gave me the information which I needed to make it work.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Great DSL modem

Searched and searched for a new ADSL2+ modem with good IPv6 support (or anything at all). Some said they did, but they didn't. I bought and returned half a dozen from different sources before I came across this one from Zyxel. I was once very happy with their modems on my BBS and this one said it supported IPv6 so I got it. There was nothing about IPv6 on it in the firmware. I contacted Zyxel support and they immediately sent me a link to the updated firmware - I installed it, there is IPv6…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

It works pretty well once we launched it

It works very well once we launched it. However, expect to have to call Zyxel to set it up and get it up and running. In our case we were told to call the ISP who told us to call Zyxel again.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Older model

I CAN'T GET IT WORKING AT ALL

I couldn't get this router to work at all with my system. The router might be fine, but there were no clear explanations on how to set it up or how to contact the company's support service. I would like to know if I can return it. $77 down the drain.

Pros
  • It's fun
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Unwanted network products

No product support unless you live in Europe! If you don't buy this, you can't return if more than 30 days have passed due to problems with the internet company. found that there is no support in the US and then it can't be returned for a refund! Don't waste your money on this modem, why are you selling it with no US support at all?!

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • Functionality

[Edit] No Vendor Firmware Support

Edit: Actually they are and I found this: [.] No Vendor Firmware Support, I mean firmware updates are on their FTP servers but they do not provide a link or description.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No
