2006 Avalanche - Good Substitute

2006 Chevy Avalanche - 3.5L 165K - Good Substitute. We need to talk about that Y joint! With the old hose, I had a small leak in the Y-piece that allowed coolant to get onto my A/C compressor. This fitting is located directly above the air conditioning compressor! Once on the Autobahn, I heard loud popping noises, but I didn't feel anything, the Autobahn is absolutely slippery! I've encountered several A/C issues, relays failing, refrigerant blown out, and I believe a leaking Y-piece was the…

Heater hose and hose to overflow tank

This hose is Y-shaped with special fittings. It connects to the water pump at one end and then the 2 Y-junctions at the bottom of the overflow/pressure tank and at the firewall are connected with a quick disconnect. To remove an existing quick disconnect, squeeze the plastic tabs while pulling the connector with the hose. My factory hose had a molded black plastic fitting that attached it to the quick connector. I was able to use a small wire cutter to cut this plastic fitting and rebuild the…

Fits my car just like the original

Interesting hose. It fits my car perfectly and conforms to all the original curves. WARNING: You can do a little research on the GM heater hose. The GM uses a fast connection on the firewall to connect to the heater core. You may need a new connector, e.g. B. a Dorman 800-409 heater hose connector (connector on my model. There are others) and you will definitely need a HOSE TOOL CLAMP to remove the plastic connector. Examine the connections. There are many videos showing how the plugs can break

Exact replacement for GMC Sierra

I recently heard a strange noise from the air conditioning compressor and over the weekend on a working day I removed the fender under the engine to have a closer look. I noticed that the compressor was oily and wet. When I was in Houston with 100 highs in September, I was obviously concerned that my 11-year-old Denso finally needed a replacement. However, I have found that engine coolant has entered the compressor and this line is leaking coolant through the plastic section, especially when…
