Short Life: Ignition Starter

I bought this for my Chevy Impala in May 2016 and it broke in September 2017. I will be replacing this with the AC Delco part.

Cheap part. I ended up buying ACDelco.

Cheap item. So I bought ACDelco. Stopped working in less than a month. DO NOT buy this. I am a professional mechanic and bought this for my car thinking I got a good deal.

This part is well made and works like an OEM.

This part fits my 3.8L Impala LS. It was easy to install and eliminated a lot of the electrical problems you have when those things fail about 120,000 miles away. Good quality and good price. Thanks very much!

The case does not have a good solid connection to the base and the contact is faulty.

Lasted five months. Looked cheaper than the one I just replaced. Should have known due to the vague description. The housing does not have a good solid connection to the base and the pins in the connector are bare. Installed on a 1998 Malibu LS V6 with windows and air conditioning will not work.

This review is for APDTY 035812 Ignition Switch with Frame (for Lock Cylinder) (Replaces GM 22670487 / ACDelco D1432D) I can confirm without a doubt that this switch solved the strange electrical problems we were encountering were. with our 2000 Malibu LS. When the problem arose, either at startup or a few minutes after driving, the windows, air conditioning and fuel gauge would freeze. The check engine and/or service engine light will come on shortly. This device also solved the easyโ€ฆ
