FIXED hum and intermittent hum from 2004 ACURA TL

For a few months now I've been dealing with an issue that was causing my 2004 Acura TL to make an arcing hum noise when I tried to drive the car to start. The keyword there is "try". It ended up running after 3 or 4 tries but it was getting annoying and I couldn't figure out why. In any case, the installation took less than 30 minutes and the problem completely disappeared. It's like having a new car again!

Fits perfectly and works well after a few months

My ignition switch started making a whirring noise when trying to start the engine so I looked into what the problem might be and realized that it was the ignition switch. . I ordered these and had the switch replaced within an hour. It's a fairly simple task, but if you don't know what you're doing I'd ask a professional to do it for you. There are a couple of airbag wires in the steering column that you don't want to damage. It only takes an hour at a reputable workshop to get the job done…

Fits Honda Accord 2003

Precise fit, functionality and looks with the Original Equipment shifter. Not difficult to replace but the rear screw holding it in place was a bit of a pain with other wires/connectors blocking the screwdriver's path. I had to pull the knee plate so the screwdriver had a gap. I had an intermittent ignition problem; There was a click when the key was turned to start, but the engine wouldn't turn at all and started after a few turns of the key. This was happening more and more often, so I bought

Very easy to replace with Element

Fixed ignition problem on 2004 Honda Element. When I turned the key from the "on" position to the "start" position, I heard a buzzing noise around the steering column and the car would not start. After hundreds of tries, it finally tipped over. Very easy to replace with the item, remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the three screws underneath and separating the top and bottom of the clam shell. This starter switch has 2 screws, one on the bad bottom side, the bottom is harder to see…

Fixed intermittent no start

I had intermittent problems starting my 2003 Honda CRV. It spins and makes a noise like it's tipping over, but then it loosens up and stops spinning, and there's no noise when the key is held in the start position. After the car sits for a second, it usually starts normally. There was no starter noise or hum like other people have described in their cars - just an intermittent weak start or no start. I bought a new battery, checked the alternator and starter. I even cleaned the battery…

I wish I had bought it sooner

This product is exactly what you would expect if you are having trouble with your current ignition switch. I have had intermittent starting problems with my 2003 Accord for YEARS. Initially the car would just not start from time to time, maybe once every 2 months. I checked everything you can expect, battery and connections. It usually started after I tried again a few minutes later. The strange thing is that the car didn't even try to roll over. Many times I thought it was a bad battery and…
