Nice but important installation details not mentioned in the manual

Overall this is a good compact unit which works well as a buffer/mixing tank in combination with a water heater. Two very important installation details are not mentioned in the installation instructions: 1) Use a 'water heater connection hose' on both water connections - it is imperative that the connection fitting has a flat rubber gasket to seal the heater inlet/outlet; If you're using standard NPT fittings they most likely aren't airtight and you'll end up with rusty water from iron threads

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I will add later

Anode Rod Kills: Water Heater

Bought this heater a year ago as a built in boost from the main water heater. From now on it works perfectly. seems to heat well, economical, easy to install. but now i get the leak somewhere in the device. Since it's installed with pipes and a pressure valve on top, I assumed the pressure release was leaking. The anode is part of the heating rods, which should be checked every 6 months. This requires a complete drain, removal of the anode and heater rod assembly. No one but Bosch sells them…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • There are flaws

Don't buy customer service is terrible.

Spoke to a customer service representative named Craig. When I called I couldn't get an answer from the technician at first, so I called and got a question about a new product. The guy said he would transfer me which he did there Craig replied and was already ticked that the previous someone didnt start a case or gave me a case number he mumbled about it i said i am sorry i knew not how the process was. The tank started leaking on 11/19/20, I contacted support on 11/20/20, the email said…

  • Easy to Use

Works perfectly! Replacing a gas water heater RV.

Used to replace an old propane water heater in a vintage 1980's model camper van. What I don't like about this kettle. I bought a 7 gallon model. Above all. Second, cheap plastic connections for cold water inlet and hot water outlet. The Sharkbite connections could not be unscrewed. Entry and exit of water pipes for threading. things i like. It heats the water hot and took 35 minutes to heat up the entire tank. 7 gallons. So it heats up quickly and retains heat well, so it doesn't have to run…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
